i'd take him for a third.
So would I. Considering we have an extra 3rd rounder to play with why not?

A 2nd & 5th Round Pick for Lito?!MTK 04-16-2008, 03:12 PM i'd take him for a third. So would I. Considering we have an extra 3rd rounder to play with why not? KLHJ2 04-16-2008, 03:34 PM So would I. Considering we have an extra 3rd rounder to play with why not? In my mind the extra 3rd round pick is making up for the fact that we do not have a 4th. I would rather keep the 3rd and draft a cornerback at that spot. WA LA depth and longevity. dmek25 04-16-2008, 03:58 PM Llito Sheppard, when healthy, is well worth a 3rd round pick. right now, our starters are Smoot and Springs. Sheppard is about a light year ahead of Smoot in talent. and i think he is younger. if healthy, why not? you know what you get with him. drafting a corner is risky business( as a starter) WaldSkins 04-16-2008, 04:43 PM i'd say a third round pick and if he plays a certain number of snaps, Id agree to give up a 5th next year. Why give up another pick for another injury prone CB. I am the minority, but I believe that Springs has injury problems. I am the last person who wants to see a WR moved to CB because Shepard, Springs and Rogers were injured at the same time. On paper it would be one helluva DB corps, but it is not enough bang or stability for the buck. SkinsFanSince91 04-16-2008, 05:10 PM So would I. Considering we have an extra 3rd rounder to play with why not? My thoughts exactly. Its like drafting Lito in the 3rd! SmootSmack 04-16-2008, 05:15 PM One thing to keep in mind. One, probably the biggest reason, the Eagles are entertaining trade offers for Sheppard is to stock up on draft picks to use as leverage to go after a WR (Roy Williams? Chad Johnson?) Well even if they did stockpile picks and then we went after Lito, ultimately we would have someone to cover ocho cinco! So we would be straight either way. I dont even think Lito is as good as Springs OR Smoot. So in your analogy he would not even be covering a CJ type receiver, he'd be covering more of a slot reciever in the nickel. Id rather trade for a WR and draft a CB, not the other way around. But if i had to id go no higher then a third, maybe throw in a late pick next year based on playing time. Im on The 3:10 to Roy Williamsville. hahaha.. SeanTaylor21 04-16-2008, 06:09 PM Too pricey, John Eubanks and a 7th rounder would be nice. |
