Lest we think Chad Johnson holds a monopoly on complaining...why aren't we all up in arms over this? Because he's not as "loud" as Chad Johnson?

"Urlacher feels he has outplayed his contract and is demanding more money. He's boycotting the team's voluntary offseason workout program and threatening to hold out of minicamp, organized team activities and even training camp if he doesn't get a new deal."

Brian Urlacher situation is tricky business for Bears :: CHICAGO SUN-TIMES :: Sports (http://www.suntimes.com/sports/901866,CST-SPT-bear18.article)

The Bears have so many players who want new deals (Harris, Hester, Gould, even Briggs is allegedly complaining). They're a mess

I think that's exactly it. I mean, voluntary workouts are voluntary. The difference is that Chad is trying to get his ass out of town ASAP, and Urlacher just wants more money.

If the Bears don't pay Urlacher, he will still show up and play. I also believe Chad will play if he doesn't get traded, because we've seen Rosenhaus clients threaten this before, but people are more worried about Chad forcing the Bengals hand than Urlacher doing anything to the Bears.

Knowing Rosenhaus, I believe both situations are much ado about nothing, but Chad is grabbing the headlines, thus he's drawing the hate.

I always thought he was a punk since he horse-collared Portis in '04. He's overrated too! I'll take London Fletcher over Urlacher any day.

It's the gold teeth......if Urlacher had gold teeth, I'd be really pissed at him right now for doing this.

Because no reports have come out stating that Danny wants him. Honestly we do not have a need for a MLB. Even when Fletcher is done we have Blades waiting in the wings.

Smoot, you Hit the nail on the head, he's not as loud as CJ. Give it some time & there will be plenty of fans unhappy w/him. But the big difference is, it sounds like he's doing things behind the scenes, whereas ocho is running his mouth at will on espn.

The article even cites 2 sources who have different takes on it. Like I said, give it some time & if it gets more publicity there will be some outrage. I think it's a bit inaccurate to compare him to CJ at this point though, it appears he's conducting business privately as much as possible even if it's "machiavellian" as the article states. Also, he doesn't have accusations of punching his coach hanging over him like ocho.

he's in the headlines because he talks to espn. If and when Urlacher tells John Clayton he wants to be traded or wants more $, I guarantee espn will play that on sportscenter.

Both situations are different, and the big difference is we don't hear Urlacher on every TV and radio show whining about wanting out.
