Our favorite football writer is to be honored.

I may not like what he writes about the Redskins, but the way he still continued writing after falling ill at the HOF thingy says a lot about his commitment. Good for him.

The award, named for the first executive director of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, is given annually by the PFWA to honor one of its members for distinguished service.

What distinguished service are they talking about? I want a recount!
