yeah I know black shows everything and that's the price I pay, but I'm seeing this crap all over everyone's cars. The other day there was so much pollen blowing around it looked like it was snowing.

This morning as I walked up to it I said out loud in an Eric Cartman-like voice "Moooooom, that oak tree splewged on my caaaar." I'm afraid I may be going completely insane. Dark cars are harder to keep clean than anything. easiest cars to keep clean are white. Weird. doxiechic12000 05-08-2008, 08:00 PM Not because of allergies, but because I can't keep my damn car clean! I just had it washed yesterday and today it looks like big bird sneezed all over it. The pollen seems really bad this year. The pollen is especially bad this year due to the unexplained deaths of millions and millions of bees! Instead of bees performing their cross pollenating acitivites the pollen is just blowing around in the air. They also predict crop yeilds to be way down because the bees are not there to perform the cross pollenation that is needed. Just a little FYI Lady Brave 05-08-2008, 08:36 PM Two years ago I had a honeybee hive make it's home in my bathroom wall. There's nothing quite like the sound of hundreds of bees humming furiously four feet away from you while you're trying to do your business. There's nothing quite like the sound of hundreds of bees humming furiously four feet away from you while you're trying to do your business. that would suck. I don't mind bees, but I when I lived in Amissville, we had a wasp problem that would be so overwhelming the first warm day after a long cold spell, it looked like a horror flick. You couldn't approach the house, and you could knock them down with a broom stick with every swing. Once I awoke to find a red wasp crawling up my naked thigh while I was in bed, and I screamed like a woman and completely spazzed out. I think that was the moment my wife lost the last bit of respect she had for me as a man. jsarno 05-08-2008, 08:56 PM Not because of allergies, but because I can't keep my damn car clean! I have allergies now that I live in the Southwest, and one of the worst for me is Pecan trees. They have a green pollen that puts a fine dust all over your vehicles. I am very happy that zyrtec is over the counter now. I've been on it for 3 years. Lady Brave 05-08-2008, 09:23 PM that would suck. I was running late for a wedding and flew out of the house and jumped in the car. As soon as I started the car, the sucker stings me on my inner thigh. So I'm yelling and trying to get it out from under my skirt and the thing lands on the console. Let me just say those suckers are hard to kill, but I prevailed in the end. So now I'm woozy from all the adrenaline pumping, I'm really running late now and I have to sing the opening song at this wedding. I arrived, still woozy, walked straight to the stage and performed like nothing happened. Yeah, that was fun, but the show must go on! Monkeydad 05-09-2008, 12:16 PM If you F pollen, you'll be all yellow down there. :( No, I do agree. I washed both of my cars on the weekend. Beautiful, sunny day. 2 hours later my cars were yellow and I had to get a dusting mit out and brush them off. redsk1 04-19-2010, 03:20 PM I was almost ready to F....allergies. I guess I'm too late. I feel like I've been dying here the last few weeks. Congestion, watery eyes, nose, no sleep. F...this pollen. I never had allergies until 5 or 6 years ago. Finally got tested last year. I'm allergic to everything: trees, my dog, grass, virtually everything outside. Seeing i like to spend alot of time outside, i'm screwed. Alright, i'm done. MTK 04-19-2010, 03:25 PM Ugh I've been stuffed up and miserable all day |
