So sad... God be with his family...
RIP Tim Russerthesscl34 06-13-2008, 05:45 PM So sad... God be with his family... onlydarksets 06-13-2008, 07:18 PM I work near Sibley and drove past the NBC studio on my way home. It was surrounded by reporters, but I had no idea why. That Guy 06-13-2008, 11:42 PM really pretty sad about this. good guy, did the right thing, asked the tough questions... nothing bad to say. loved his show, best wishes to his family. :( Daseal 06-14-2008, 03:26 AM I liked Russert. Only 58. What a shame. Thoughts go out to his friends and family. dmek25 06-14-2008, 08:02 AM may god bless his family. don't know if this is appropriate, but when did the reporters start becoming the news? its probably the single biggest reason there are so many inaccuracies in news today. everyone wants to break a story, without checking out facts, and sources. 12thMan 06-14-2008, 03:53 PM If you guys remember last Decemeber I had the opportunity to go to the NBC studio on behalf of Warpath. Well they showed me around and took me where the shoot Meet The Press. There was nothing particularly special about it. But I was like, "is this where Tim Russert shoots Meet The Press?" He said, yep right here. I was like, man I'm on Tim Russert's turf today. 70Chip 06-15-2008, 02:04 AM Oh untimely death. MTK 06-16-2008, 09:59 AM Pretty scary stuff: Russert death shows massive heart attack isn't easy to predict - USATODAY.com (http://www.usatoday.com/news/health/2008-06-15-heart-attack-russert_N.htm) Such a sad story, did anyone see the interview with his son Luke this morning on the Today Show? He seems like a really good kid. http://www.people.com/people/article/0,,20206862,00.html 'Meet the Press' moderator Tim Russert eulogized in teary tribute broadcast (http://www.nydailynews.com/entertainment/tv/2008/06/15/2008-06-15_meet_the_press_moderator_tim_russert_eul.html) firstdown 06-16-2008, 10:47 AM I was not a big fan of his but its sad when anyone goes at such a young age. It also shows how even with all the advances in the medical field bad things still happen. I heard that he had just had a stress test like a week before and nothing showed up on the test. MTK 06-16-2008, 02:10 PM I just saw this in the news. Very sad. He spoke at my commencement in 2000. STATEMENT OF SAINT ROSE PRESIDENT DR. R.
