I think he's looking more for clarification. I am unsure of what your intentions are with this comment too:

He implies that Jesse Jackson is a leader of the African American community and I don't know who anointed Jesse Jackson a leader. Last time I checked there hasn't been some sort of an election where I got to vote for him. Same goes for Sharpton, Farrakhan, etc, etc.

Secondly he takes the leap and basically implies that Jesse Jackson is a determinate to the entire African American community. I mean WTF does that mean, we're being judged based on what Jesse Jackson does or says? How would you like for me to judge all Italians based on Antonin Scalia or Rudy Giuliani which are inividuals I and many like minded people don't think highly of? Are they leaders of the Italian American Community?

I personally can't stand Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton. I'm normally not a fan of the NY Post, but this article was linked on drudgereport.com, and I thought it was right on.

Well one difference is that neither Scalia or Rudy speak on behalf of one group of people like Jesse does. I know Jesse does not speak for all African Americans but there are a bunch who support him and if they don't I never hear them standing up and speaking out against what he say's.

Well, to piggy back, First, whether by self appointment, or some other situation, as you say Jesse is allowed to get away with his......behavior. As is the Reverend Al. I for one do not believe they are representative of the Black community, but they are allowed to get away with it. There may be others denouncing them, but if they are, they are not getting the play.
THAT is what makes them so damaging. They are basically all you hear.
IMO these guys are poison to the Black community, and concerned with nothing but self-promotion. I think that JJ showed his colors on the int.

Can't really argue with that. However, I feel the need to point out he was a presidential candidate, so people did vote for him. Might have been before your time though.

Judging by your comment here, this has apparently heated you up. All I was saying was clarification was needed on the comment. I was not agreeing or disagreeing.
I personally prefer to get riled up about more important things. Jesse Jackson shouldn't even be worth your time...everyone knows he's a joke.
