Colston out for a monthJamaican'Skin 09-10-2008, 10:24 AM Seems like a lot of players are going down with injuries. Glad the bug is biting everybody but us this yr. Here was my delima there though. I wasn't able to log on that day to draft, so autopick was in full effect. I have the following WR's Welker, Patten, Randel EL, Marshall, and I recently pick up Basket and dropped one of Seattle's injured recievers (can't remember which). I started Patten, Basket, and Marshall and here is why: They have better QB's delivering them the ball than Welker and Randel El do. Sorry, but I'm going to play whoever (in my mind) gives me the best opportunity to win. J. Spanky 09-10-2008, 11:25 AM wow, that's too bad for colston. it could be good news for us. but it may not matter much. they've got pretty solid depth at receiver. and this is really the opportunity devery henderson needs to step up. Monkeydad 09-10-2008, 01:12 PM I hope David Patten doesn't get his revenge on us this weekend I bet he'll be so pumped up to face us, that he'll do double his entire last season with us in a single game... which would be 2 catches for 50 yards! :D GMScud 09-10-2008, 01:27 PM I'm glad we don't have to deal with Colston this week, but I he was the #1 WR on my fantasy team. SHIT! GMScud 09-10-2008, 01:28 PM I hope David Patten doesn't get his revenge on us this weekend Devery Henderson worries me a lot more than David Patten. "It is an outrage that the Redskins are excited someone is hurt..." That being said, I am tired of this talk already, even if we win I know now that it will come down to.. "YOU COULDN'T BEAT THEM IF THEY HAD COLSTON!" nolafan33 09-10-2008, 09:32 PM i'm not really worried about this. when you have a coach like payton and a qb like drew you can't help but be confident. colston has missed some games during his career and there was really no fall off at all. don't get me wrong, this is a big loss. but the saints will be able too cover it up. we are very deep at the reciever position and have 3-4 guys who can step in and take colstons spot. our best reciever during the preseason (and last seasons first round pick) robert meachem will finally see action. i'm looking for him too have a good outing, he looked great in the preseason. and then there are the vets like patten, henderson, moore, and copper. all very solid recievers. the bottom line is that the coaching staff and drew will put guys into position too succeed and cover this up as best as they can. shockey will probably be doubled but now we have a extra reciever (henderson, meachem) that should be able to get good seperation and get open downfield. |
