welcome to the board ;) and yeah, betts seems to have a legit shot, he'll definately make this cut, there's about 12 people ahead of him (at least) for a ride on the next bus out of town, and only 4 spaces to go around.

i hope you're kidding on morton, he's a good returner (he did run one back last year). he does fair catch an awful lot... but before him we were using champ, who has NO hands...

besides returns, he's also cheap depth at WR and RB.

As if there isn't enough competion at H-Back, they were running Trash out of the backfield a lot in the first quarter. I don't think Gibbs isn't happy with the H-Backs (Cooley,Kozlowski...) but I do think that he wanted to work on something without totally tipping his hat to Tampa. Thrash will be here but in a more physical role than the typical wideout. If Ade is still around tomorrow I will have to think that he has some dirt on Snyder... He should be on the first bus out of town. How 'bout Betts? Anyone still think he has a shot?

Yes. Only to be traded later. Betts and Gardner were offered for Ogunleye. So there's a plan to get him out of here for somebody.

Thrash will be handling a lot of returns. I don't know Morton's stats but he's not averaging 12 yards a return.

I agree. Morton needs to stay. He is an all around player and with the help of some better special teams play he could have a big year. But Bowen????????

GoSkins, welcome to the board!

I'm really surprised they cut Kevin Mitchell. I guess this means they're totally confident that Barrow's injury is nothing to worry about and he'll be ready September 12

Either that, or my boy Khary Campbell's about to blow up!!

People baying for Mortons blood obviously have someone else in mind for a third down back/kick returner. Morten cannot return kicks on his own without blocking and special teams were far from special last year . The fact he managed to return one was a testement to his skills . He also came into some games at running back and looked much quicker and decisive than any of the other backs we had at times pluss he has the hands and speed to fill a flanker role in Gibbs offence.

Thrash was brought in because of his work ethic, the fact he had been a starting WR in Philly and he can contribute on special teams specifically on PR and give some opptions on kick returns.

Wow, he's in front of McCants at 3#?

Yes, if you've seen the preseason games, Thrash is now playing #3 WR with the first unit at the start of the games. Don't be surprised to see him move to #2 soon. this guy has been getting nothing but rave reviews from the coaching staff.
