I would read this book in a heart beat. It's good sutff, particularly if you're a football fan. And let's not kid ourselves. For every Charles Mann, Monte Coleman, Darrell Green, Art Monk and Tim Johnson...we had Tony Peters, Barry Wilburn, Dexter Manley, Michael Westbrook, George Rogers, Timmy Smith and so on. The Redskins had plenty of guys that were just as bad. Our beloved Joe Thiesmann was banging Cathy Lee Crosby in his hotel room during the SB week when we got our asses handed to us by the Raiders. At the time Joe was married and I believe he got caught in the act. That never made it to the press but it's a true story. Doc Walker all but confirmed it on the radio last year.

That's alot different than some of the stuff going on w/ the Da boyz. Alot different.

I'll post it again. Read THIS (http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/8575722/Pearlman's-book-shows-how-bad-the-'Boys-were). Thanks for the info. re: the settlement.
Sickening. Jerry Jones covering it up is even more sickening. What makes it worse, that PoS Irvin was inducted to the HoF.....before Art Monk.

Most people thought it was fun-n-games when Irvin was getting booed at the HoF induction this year. It wasn't fun-n-games to me, I already couldn't stand that SOB. I knew of the incident but not all the details. Makes every boo I yelled at Irvin worth that much more.

No really different.

I get a kick out of guys saying how terrible this is when they would give anything to to be on a championship team, knowing you are great, running with the guys, and having a great time no matter what mayhem you cause. Jealousy is an interesting thing.

Everyone should read this (http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/8575722/Pearlman's-book-shows-how-bad-the-'Boys-were). If you didn't hate the Cowboys or Michael Irvin before, you will after reading that article.

wow. I had no idea that had happened.

It just seems like we hear alot more about drug issues w/ the Cowboys than other teams. If I had the time I'd do some research...maybe I'm wrong.

I just don't remember seeing any throat slitting, cocaine possession-probation, coverup, perjury related things on the Redskins lately....or ever. Maybe I'm off base.

Let me add, in one story.

what really pisses me off about this is the fact that irvin was voted into the HOF before any of this shit got out.players cheating on their wives and doing dope some is bad,but not as bad as doing that 24/7 during the season, stabbing a teammate, and then have the owner covering the whole thing up.that's not to mention the withdrawals he had to be undergoing during the game.if that happened during a game,he could have easily died himself.the league needs to investigate this as much or more than they did all that bullshit last year with the pats cheating.makes me hate dallas ever worse than i ever did, even in the george allen era....

The idea that an extramarital affair is not really different from slitting someone's throat over a place in line is retarded. So, do you think (a) that people who have affairs should be sentenced to years in prison, or (b) that people who slit throats should get no jail time? Because, if the two acts aren't really distinguishable, you should believe either a or b.

I know you think you are the purveyor of truth and the rest of us are blind, dumb, homers, but your perception of the Redskins and Redskins fans is downright comical. You and those blind homers are two sides of the same coin.
