Honestly, that was a call that could have gone either way. I guess that makes us lucky in a sense but you will always be up and down on PI calls. We'll get our share of bad ones this year. For the most severe penalty in football, it is a shame that PI is so subjectively and so inconsistently called. Personally, I would prefer a 15 yard penalty like in college over a spot foul but that is a topic for another thread I suppose.

I'm watching Inside the NFL right now, and Jacksonville's game winning drive against Indy on Sunday was kept alive for an illegal contact penalty on a Colts LB against a Jax receiver inside 5 yards that was pretty damn similar to what London did.
Looking at that, I'd say we got lucky.

^^^ yeah after my post i got to thinking "are you allowed contact within 5 yards after the ball is thrown" (answer is no) but GM scud i am pretty sure an illegal contact penalty (by nature = contact before ball is thrown or else it would be PI) has to be past 5 yards from the line of scrimage. i follow the rules pretty closely but this year it has been hard to figure out whats been called and why because of the lack of consistency.
