That was a very interesting article. When I saw that play, my first though was "that motion is all Gibbs." Interesting to read how the players felt about all that motion, and how Zorn is utilizing it. I like his idea of using it in spots.
Yeah that play was definitely something we would have seen from Gibbs.
Thrash really did a nice job of selling it, and the throw was perfect from JC.

I give him a 5. I think he's done a great job. Especially as a rookie coach. So far I think he has surpassed what most people expected. 3-1 with a win at Dallas? Not bad.

I gave him a 3.
I started him at a 2 because he was a rookie head coach.
I still say a 4 is a coach who can get you to the playoffs.
Yes, the skins beat the cowboys, but they got crushed by the Giants sticking with their running game.
The skins beat 2 teams they should have won....I can see giving him a 4 because of beating Dallas, but, it is still possible they get spanked by another quality team.
It just hasn't been long enough to earn a 4.
I see a 3 as an average NFL coach, a 4 as a Playoff coach and a 5 as a Hall of famer. How about now? He has proven he is worth the HC job. Anything less than a 4 right now on the poll is ridiculous.

Well, I was actually just coming in here to update this when I saw your question....after the Philly game I must agree he has gained my confidence.
He is a 4....he should be able to get us to the playoffs....ideally, I'd like to wait until after we play and beat some pansies, but, based off of how consistent he has been, I don't expect problems.
It is really hard to have this level of confidence in a coach when he has not gone through the full gambit of situations, including must win games at the end of the year, playoff games, easy to win games, comebacks, division rivalries away, rivalries at home, major injuries, massive turnovers, etc...
So, am I a skeptic, yes....Am I impressed, very.
But there is NO WAY I will give Zorn a 5 until he has the team win a playoff game. The way I see it is a 4 is as high as he can go until that happens.
He has proven he can take the team to the highest level within the framework of the regular season. (except late season must win games to make the playoffs)
I was honestly not expecting the Skins to make the playoffs this year, I kinda expected them to be 2-3 at this point....I'm sure many of you are suprised too.

We need to run this poll again.
I'm at about a 2 right now. If it hits a 1, that means I'm calling for his head. Blache is at a 1 for me right now.

3 on Zorn. 1.7 on Blache.
