Let's break down the Rams thus far. 32nd in Total Offense, 31st in Total Defense, 0-4. Averaging about 11 points a game while giving up 36+. Signed, released and re-signed Eddie Kennison in a matter of a mere 3 weeks.
However, with a new head coach in Jim Haslett and coming off a bye week, these guys are fighting with a dangerous combination of pride and desperation. If there ever was a trap game this year for the Skins, this is it.
Marc Bulger, while struggling behind a paper thin offensive line, is still capable of having a good game, with Torry Holt his main target. However, beyond Holt, their receivers are piss poor. Springs shadowing Holt, with Landry deep will force Bulger to make plays to other wideouts. Steven Jackson sat out most of training camp in a contract dispute, but looked good against Buffalo before the bye (110 rushing, 78 receiving, 1 TD). The Rams will try to force mismatches with Jackson coming out of the backfield.
As long as the Skins stay focused, this matchup shouldn't be a problem.
Skins 31
Rams 19
