This would actually explain his tax and energy strategy perfectly: he's got an extra 9 states up his sleeve that will provide an added stream of tax revenue as well as hiding a secret stash of oil and natural gas! It's brilliant really. Why didn't anyone think of this before? We need more tax revenue and energy sources - just grab an extra 9 states and problem solved. Step 1.) Recognize tax revenue and energy problem. Step 2.) Add 9 states to the union. Step 3.)
