CrazyCanuck 03-04-2004, 07:48 PM From Pastabelly's article: "Very nice two-way player and appears ready to emerge as Pro Bowl-caliber performer, so any team that signs him is getting Washington at the prime time of his career. Three-year starter with 18 career sacks, can play either outside 'backer spot, but might be suited best for the strongside position." Here's the link to the article: http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/columns/story?columnist=pasquarelli_len&id=1749175 MTK 03-04-2004, 09:39 PM He's a great find, he's young and still has his best ball ahead. Not exactly a household name but a great pickup IMO. JWsleep 03-05-2004, 01:54 AM Lavar to the weakside to raise havoc. Washington to the strongside. Very nice pickup. The times says they probably will keep Trotter in the middle. I like the backers. Will we go 3-4 in the d? We resgined Mitchell today as well. dieselhog 03-05-2004, 04:15 AM Our best FA Linebacker in years. SkinTastic 03-05-2004, 06:20 AM definitely, and that more than makes up for letting Armstead go! AnonEmouse 03-05-2004, 06:42 AM Good move. As to the formation, I wouldn't be surprised to see Williams going with a base 4-3 but switching to 3-4 on occasion to facilitate more blitzes and generally confuse the O. I expect a 4-2 with Arrington roaming too. Sheriff Gonna Getcha 03-05-2004, 06:23 PM I really like this pickup since he can play as a DE (as he did before the NFL) and he's a hell of a lot cheaper than a good pass-rushing DE. |
