Cause he's a crybaby!! He kept retiring for like 4 consecutive years and say I'll make up my mind during the offseason and let you know before the season begins. Finally GB said enough is enough, he's just an attention getter who wants to be in the headlines all the time.
It is not easy to walk away from the game. We love it, imagine how much a sucessfull player like Farve loves the game. He is older and his body at the end of the 2007 season was telling him to retire. But a month into the offseason he felt better and he changed his mind.
Don't blame the guy for that. There are no right or wrongs in this type of situation. If anything the Jets are doing well and it looks so far like he made the right call. Give the guy a break. At a time where there are not enough good QB's to go around in the NFL, we should welcome the chance to see Farve play another year. Maybe you are a huge Kellen Clemens fan? The Jets 2nd string QB?
Do you enjoy watching lame QB's like Brodie Coyle and Bruce Gradowski play? Or would you rather watch Farve?

I was listening to Jay Glazer, who broke the story, and he said he stands behind his sources "1000 percent" and that to break a story like this a reporter must be sure it is correct.

Farve is one of the all time greats. For all he has given to GB they give him the door. If he got a little payback so be it.

I've always liked Favre but he's moved down a notch with my respect if this is true,it may not be treason, but it is very classless IMO,I would expect more class from Favre. Now if the part is true that he was calling Millen about a hunting trip and Millen picked his brain, then thats different

Snore. If he called then I guess that's bad. If he didn't call then I guess that's good. I had chili today.

Honestly, I have a good knowledge base of what the Packers are going to do next week. Its up to the Packers to execute. Its obvious that the Packers didn't execute the offense well. Definitely don't blame Favre!!! You can always audible to safer plays if you think the other team knows your playbook.

I don't know if I believe this story. If true, I don't know that I believe the "hunting trip" part.
But, this story aside, I agree. I liked Favre until he "retired." He certainly had a right to un-retire, but the way he went about doing it was classless. Green Bay drafted TWO qb's, leaving the writing on the wall that they had moved on for everyone to see, but Favre still managed not to see it and created a circus. It doesn't matter whether or not the Pack was right to move on, the fact is they did, and Favre needed to deal with that better. To those who say that the Pack "owed" him something, I say they already were doing him 12 million favors a year. It's a business and Favre should know this. Montana had to go to KC and Unitas had to go to San Diego, but they did so with far fewer theatrics and far more class.
BTW Favre has more interceptions this year than any other QB except O'Sullivan.

Millen was fired on 9/24, 10 days after the Packers and Lions played in week 2.
Ok, I had my timeline off a bit.
