if you are the patriots, and have that much invested in Brady, don't you insist on him following whatever medical advice you prescribe?
I heard that the NFL Teams can ask a player to see the teams recomended doctors for their injuries but they cannot force a player to use them. I'm sure their are laws against forcing a person to use a certain doctor which the NFL cannot get arround.
Brady has the right to choose his own doctor. And I'm not sure his choice of Dr. had anything to with this situation. Infections are a tricky thing.

Brady better hope that Cassell doesn't continue to play well. That may tempt Belichick to dump Brady and show everyone else that he's a genius by having a winning team with Cassell. The pourous Denver D has helped a lot of shaky offenses get well again. I don't see New England as a factor this year with Cassell at QB.

I'm wondering why Brady didn't have Andrews do the surgery...
Also, Cassell sucks big time. He's got no arm, and he holds onto the ball too long. The only reason he was able to pass on Denver is because Champ and Bly got injured.

How about....no!
Next draft I see Bellichicken drafting another QB to begin grooming Brady's eventual replacement and to not have to rely on Cassell as the back up. He is not very good.

I just saw on espn that Dr. Andrews was a consultant with Brady's doctors and he does'nt expect the timeline for Bradys recovery to change. He said Brady is responding well to medicine given for post opt infection.

i think the player's right to choose his own doctor/treatment,is in the collective bargaining agreement.i may be wrong, but i think i heard it mentioned right after brady had his surgery.
