The problem with the Browns is that they are simply a mediocre team. Last year, they caught one of the softest schedules in the NFL and won 10 games. That got folks in Cleveland thinking they were on the cusp of something really special; they weren't.
Changing the QB may help a bit if in fact BQ is ready to live up to the hype he arrived with. On the other hand, maybe he too will have his game dragged down to a level of mediocrity by the rest of the squad.
The Browns will probably win between 7 and 9 games this year with either guy at QB. They are too good to lose 11 games and not nearly good enough to win 11 games.

I have to agree with some statements about Edwards. He should be on the bench right next to Anderson. Anderson is playing awful and deserves to be benched. Not sure if Quinn is going to help the situation much. We'll see.

Should have been done a few weeks ago. Browns will mail it in the rest of the year, and Crennel will be looking for work next year.

I don't think switching quarterbacks for the Brownies is going to make much difference. Until the Brownie receivers stop dropping passes it won't make any difference. Now, if all of a sudden, Braylon Edwards and company start holding onto the ball, I think the Brownies have a conspiracy. In that case, it would be obvious to me, the players want to play with Quinn and not Anderson.

Well, Quinn didn't fall on his face...looked pretty good actually. Of course, Denver has no D right now with Champ and DJ Williams (among others ) missing due to injury.

Quinn played a damn good game last night, it was Kellen Winslow Jr. who screwed it up with the dumb penalty on the Braylon Edward's catch, and the fumble. Oh, and the miscommunication in the secondary which lead to Eddie Royal's 97 yard TD.
Brady Quinn > Derek Anderson

The Browns should have traded up to get JaMarcus Russell. He has a great arm.

I thought that Quinn played well considering he had a short week of practice. The game plan seemed to be heavy on the short stuff and conservative side. Denver's defense is just horrible and I think the real test comes next week against Buff. But so far so good.

Sitting a year probably did he good (a la Carson Palmer). With a very short week to prep, Quinn played well against a bad defense. He seemed very composed. He checked down several times but also got the ball out quickly. It appears he was, in fact, more than just hype. It was a good first start. Let's see, however, how he looks after three or so more starts.
