Agreed Matty,he had a good 15 mins in New York (and I do mean 15 min) but did Joe Gibbs Blow out his Achillies........???

Just ask Lavar I'm sure that is the Redskins fault to! Or it might just be JOES FAULT, OR GREGGS OR DANS OR ANYBODY HE CAN REMEMBER FROM THE REDSKINS.....

LaVar has become a crybaby and these particular comments are just sad, but I find it hard to believe than anyone with an ounce of football knowledge(including Gregg Williams), thinks that in 2005, Warrick Holdman was a better option at outside linebacker than LaVar Arrington.

Certainly LaVar had more talent and Holdman was getting pushed around BUT at least Holdman could be counted on to be in the right general area. With LaVar it became obvious to all but the diehard LaVar Lovers that there were times it was like playing with 10 men on the field. It was Brandon Lloyd before Lloyd was here - Great talent, zero accountability.

Look I think the majority of us believed that LA could perform better than Warrick Holdman, who was pretty much done as a player. I was one of them. For whatever reason that we'll probably never know, LA didn't get on the field much in his last season. When he did he had some good games. Was it the injury? Was it his attitude? Study habits? Who knows and quite honestly i don't care anymore.

LA probably believes in the conspiracy moon landing, the Cubans killed JFK, and whatever else. He's just out there. Why not just let it go? Let it go, LA. Maybe in a few years people will forget about your dumb quotes.

I want to like the guy, but damn.

Based on his appearances on Wash Post live and the Pregame show and his new sports bar business he is obviously looking to make a living off his status as a former Redskin. Yet he decides to trash the most beloved figure in Washington Sports history...nice job dumbarse...don't let the door hit you in arse on the way out!

They are always open, or should I say I have never been there too early.

Oh get off your self-righteous pedestal. Let's not all act like it's all LaVar. Everyone is culpable in what went down. Snyder, Gibbs, Williams, and Dale Lindsey could have done things better, and seeing how Lindsey was fired for poor job performance I don't think you lot should be jumping on LaVar's throat like vampires. Clearly LaVar is still bitter but you guys don't seem too far behind.

What did Gibbs do to get him hurt or involved in a motorcycle crash??

Lame.

A series of events took place after Gibbs was hired resulted in Lavar going out on a motorcycle that particular day which resulted in the injury that forced Lavar into early retirement. It is possible that if Gibbs wasn't hired Lavar never would have gone out that day and crashed.

Other then that I can't think of what Gibbs did to hurt Lavar. The universe works in mysterious ways :D

It's important to mention that when Arrington finally earned his way onto the field in the Grilliams' scheme, he was an absolute monster.

I'm kinda surprised he gave up football at such an early age. No doubt he had a flare for the boneheaded move, but if he had taken the 2007 off to heal from his motorcycle injury, someone would be employing him right now.

Actually, I find it a bit humorous. Back in '05 the LaVar Love was flowing, he could do no wrong and those foolish coaches just were on an ego trip. Perhaps, just perhaps, LaVar's attitude had something to do with the way he was treated. I thought he was an ass then and just enjoy the continual vindication he provides me.

Truthfully, we will never know who's to blame for what. The firing of Lindsay seems evidence of something, what I don't know. Certainly, Williams was a "my way or the highway" kind of coach. As for Gibbs, I have to admit I just don't get LaVar's vitriol. Is he angry that Gibbs didn't intervene on his behalf? Is mad that Gibbs basically cut off direct communication between Snyder and his favorites (if that happened)? I just don't get it. Is there any other Gibbs coached player that has been so outspokenly hateful to him? I can't think of anyone.

With that said - it speaks to how much the fans actually did love him that he continually gets this kind of reaction. For so long he was the face of the franchise. Maybe he just couldn't let go of that when the team was trying to turn the corner and reestablish a winning "team first" attitude.
