Close, but no.
Shaun Alexander releasedJoeRedskin 11-25-2008, 03:59 PM Close, but no. PennSkinsFan 11-25-2008, 04:01 PM I thought Maurice Mann! We need more receivers!! Besides Moss, the above statement applies, but remove the 'more' and put 'a', because right now we don't have a legit number two,. I am hoping Kelly proves to be that over the next three weeks. Dogtag 11-25-2008, 04:02 PM Shaun retires from the Redskins as their 234th leading rusher of all time (Washington Redskins Career Rushing Register - Pro-Football-Reference.com (http://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/was/career-rushing.htm)). Behind such superstars as Honolulu Hughes, Mike Oliphant and Bobby DeFruiter. Quick Trivia: For whom did we trade Mike Oliphant? I think that was teh Earnest Byner trade. JoeRedskin 11-25-2008, 04:06 PM I think that was teh Earnest Byner trade. Yes. Mike Oliphant for Earnest Byner. Hog1 11-25-2008, 05:36 PM DAMN! I thought it was part of a 12 player deal involving Tony Dorsett, and Adam "it's raining in cell block C" Jones. crazytiger 11-25-2008, 09:12 PM Glad he is gone Never was to crazy about the idea of a former Auburn QB handing off to a former Bammer RB. That would never have worked. It just gets the fundamental order of the universe out of whack. You know? J/K Alexander is a stand-up guy and I was actually pulling for him to do well. Sounds like he just has nothing left in the gas tank. redskin37 11-25-2008, 09:21 PM When a player falls so fast from being so good to so old and fat and slow like Alexander makes you wonder if he was on the juice. EARTHQUAKE2689 11-25-2008, 09:23 PM Well other than the fact that my offense on Madden no longer has a power back and stiff arm back lining up at fullback, I really don't feel our team lost anything we actually gained the number 37 jersey for next season MTK 11-25-2008, 09:50 PM When a player falls so fast from being so good to so old and fat and slow like Alexander makes you wonder if he was on the juice. Not really, at least not in his case. He simply hit the wall that many RBs do when they approach 30 and injuries and a big workload catches up with them. SBXVII 11-26-2008, 09:29 AM Sorry to see such a nice personable player go but the expierment was over long before it got started. Hopefully some of you realize that it's not always where you have been that should get you the job but where you might go in the future. |
