I agree that Pierce should probably be suspended, but only if charges are filed. But from initial reports it sounds like he tried to hide the gun in question. Maybe one of our legal experts (SGG?) could weigh in. I don't know what the exact charge would be, but tampering with and/or concealing evidence involved in a felony gun case doesn't sound fun to me.

I can't offer any decent insight because I'm not familiar with the relevant New York statutes or the underlying facts. However, I would think that the police and the district attorney's office are looking at obstruction of justice and, as you pointed out, evidence tampering charges.

I can attest to the fact that NYPD and the NY County DA's office will not hesitate to prosecute this felony to the max.

The laws here in Manhattan are fairly straightforward. The intolerance to firearms is one of the major reasons I enjoy living here.

That and the clubs...

Look at my earlier post... It's actually a new law in New York- if you possess an illegal firearm in the city, it's a 3.5 year minimum sentence, no exceptions. And he is expected to be charged this week.

yeah it's a law Bloomberg passed in the last few years, not good news for Plax.

Bloomberg came out and said there will be no exceptions made for Plex.

BTW, If Pierce took the gun and hid it, He should be charged with possession of an illegal firearm and suspended by the league.

It's a goes back to P diddy and what happen with him a few years back.Bloomberg needs to shut his mouth ,Plax has a good Lawyer and even Jack Ford said yesterday alot of cases like this have been dealt down, the NY system just can't handel everyone with a gun.as I said before he'll never play for the Giants again, the Giants can get their money back and not take a cap hit,he'll be traded to some team...the Raiders ...for a #412th pick in 2020(lol)

There were some people telling Bloomberg at the time to shut up,all the facts are'nt out yet.Jack Ford was saying he's sure he won't do time.I think that you'll never ever see him again for the Giants and it won't count against the cap.
