There's several things that's right about this team.
1. Mike Sellers is involved in more of the offense otherthan blocking.
2.Chirs Horton has filled a big void at the Safety position.
3.Devin Thomas has contributed on several plays on third down.
4.DeAngelo Hall has made his presence known with 2 INTS and a fumble recovery.
Now our record says exactly who we are because of whats wrong with the team.
1. Zorn's inability to adjust to exotic defensive schemes which leads to three and outs rather than more points and first downs.
2.Zorn's reluctance to change or ad gadgets plays that were not in the first four games they won in.
3.Zorn's lack of knowledge of player personal and their strengths. Cooley, Betts, Fred Davis and Devin Thomas have been grossly underused in critical situations. Davis has been inactive as Todd Yoder contributes nothing.
4.If the offensive line is beat up, where is the 2-step drop passes. Where is the dump off screen, and God forbide a reverse-half back option. Once every three games will not get it done.
5.Lastly, If Jason Campbell finishes this year with a losing record, there has to be an opportunity for Colt Brennan to play for his job. Jason is looking worse every week and has absolutely no clue about his progressions anymore. His release takes forever and he's still locking in on players which is causing alot of batted balls.

Can't agree with Santana Moss. He has been nothing but terrible for some time. He's a) not getting open, and b) dropping passes all the time.
He's not terrible but he's average. No way is he a top NFL wr.

-A young QB that several thought was a top MVP candidate at the midpoint of the season. Given time and protection, he has shown he can lead the team to victories, even comeback victories
Agree, re-sign Campbell in the off-season.
-Colt "The Truth" Brennan waiting in the wings
LOL
-One of the most complete running backs in the game in Clinton Portis
Agree, although we need a complimentary "big back". Betts ain't the answer.
-A steady, reliable young pass catching tight end
Agree, plus we need to develop Davis.
-One of the best LT's in the game in Chris SamuelsNot sold here my friend, solid yes, Pro Bowl level right now, No. He's been getting beat fairly consistently this year off the edge, that doesn't bode well for a 30+ yr. old LT.
-A playmaker in Santana Moss, along with two young stud receivers who just need the time and opportunities in Devin Thomas and Malcolm Kelly (if you've already given up on them, I feel sorry for you)
I'm more optimistic on the development of Thomas/Kelly than Moss, he's a deep threat but not a great route-runner or pass-catcher. I'm afraid his best days are in the "rear-view".
-Arguably the most underrated player in the game in London Fletcher (although, to be fair, I want to start seeing more consistency out of Blades sooner than later)But unfortunately aging, we have 2 yrs at best with him.
-A top 5 defenseBlache has done a very good job, I was concerned in the pre-season and game one, but he's made adjustments well.
-Young playmakers in the secondary-ball hawk DeAngelo Hall, lock down corner Carlos Rogers, freak of nature Laron Landry, 7th round steal Chris HortonAgree, our secondary looks very solid. (That dumb-ass FO, SARCASM alert).
-Young depth on the interior of the defensive line with Golston, Montgomery, and Alexander
Agree
-An owner wiling to do whatever it takes for his teamThis is the key to everything. He's finally going in the right direction and is a genius at generating $$$.
-A young developing OT in Stephon Heyer who should have the starting RT spot locked down for years to come by this summer, if not soonerHopefully.
Randy Thomas, Jansen in a backup role, Sellers and Zorn are also positives.

To each his own I guess. Portis has been a baller and has given us everything he's got this year. I just don't see him as a problem at all. We have much bigger issues. Comparing him to Plax is a little ridiculous and I don't see the comparison at all.
Without Portis, there are no seven wins to talk about. Jason Campbell has not produced on third down conversions and there is no excuse for it. His release and timing is deplorable. I watched him throw some of the laziest passes against a Ravens team. Something has to change immediately.

We've run him into the ground this year. He's a baller but he's just worn down. I like Betts but what do you think about getting a game breaker out of the back field. Someone like Leon Washington.

I agree. I'm kinda curious why we kill Portis every year at the beginning for the season. I'd love to see him split some time, especially with Mike Sellers and Betts available.

Right with the Skins:
1.The whole defense (minus the horrendous d-line and Shawn Springs)... imagine how good the D would be if we had an AVERAGE pass rush.
2. Cooley, Moss, Zellars.
Everyone else is expendable. Portis is somewhat overrated, can't break a long run, and doesn't want to practice (name me one TRULY GREAT pro athlete who didn't bust his ass in practice, hurt or not?) Campbell is OK, hard to really judge him when he can't stay on his feet to make a throw. I think the Skins should stick with him for another year.
Shawn Springs needs to go... no heart, stealing paychecks at this point.
Zorns coaching staff seriously needs to be questioned at this point... not having Thomas and Kelly at least somewhat ready to contribute in week 13 is scary. Throwning a no name Center in at LT and giving him no help is amature. Spurrier -esque.
On a positive note. Landry is starting to make plays and D. Hall is looking to be a good pickup.
Your whole post was lost when you said CP is overrated. CP comes to every game giving it all he has and don't care if he never takes a snape in practice. Sence when did we start judging players by how they practice and not what they do every Sunday.

I thought Big Mike was definately an asset for them. Need to continue with that. Incredible to see his big ass hurdling a tackler!

lol yeah i love when big mike gets the ball and starts turning up the field, you just know either hes hurdling a guy or running him over depending on whether hes made the first down or not. if hasnt gotten the firstdown yet he hurrdles the guy and picks up the needed yards; if hes passed the 1st down mark he just puts that big ole head of his down and turns into a wrecking ball.
i need to get a sellers jersey.
go skins!!
