Aikman's Exam:
Q: What is the last thing you remember?
A: The underside of the bench.
Q: What was the name of that bus?
A: LaVar Arrington.
Seriously, he was always a class act (as was Emmitt Smith). Respected adversaries who had terrific careers. This is nice.
LOL. I couldn't help it but I had to bring up the Troy Aikman face.

I wonder how Fred Couples is dealing with Troy's time away?

Troy was one of the few people I respected on the old Boy's team(the little I remember). Always a professional and standup guy. Plus he is great on TV, unbias and insightful.
Same can't be said about JT, the real JT.

I assume I'm the only dissenting opinion here?
Is anyone old enough to remember their super bowl years of the early nineties? I guess I'll abstain from a detailed opinion on this guy but safe to say I don't like him and certainly won't be gushing over him.
Also what kind of non-story is Aikman getting his degree 20 years too late? The only reason this story is interesting is if you give Aikman more pats on the back than he already has.
Nice guy or whatever, I still don't like him no matter how much he or this media source tries.

What Emmitt Smith are you talking about? The guy that no one liked on his own team? The guy that wouldn't sign an autograph for a teamates mom, saying "if i sign an autograph for you mom, i'll have to sign an autograph for everyone's f****** mom." Paraphrased of course.
Troy Aikman, yes. Emmitt Smith, no.

Troy is a good announcer and a class guy. Of course Lavar's hit on him is one of my favorite highlights. It's amazing he could go untarnished considering the people he played with. Good for you Troy.

Look, I’m anti-Cowboys as much as anyone, and it’s my guess that I’ve been hating them much longer than you. I was alive and screaming in the 80s and 90s during the REAL rivalry when we'd beat down the Cowboys in the NFC Championships. I’m sure a lot of us here on Warpath remember it, too.
But you know what? Sometimes you gotta call ‘time’ on the rivalry. Just as Troy Aikman, and many Cowboy fans did after the death of Sean Taylor. He/they were one of, if not the first, to reach out to us during that devastating time. He's also a damn good (and fair!) commentator. I pray we wipe the Cowboys every year; if I saw Aikman, I’d tell him so. But I’d also say congratulations on returning to school, and on your graduation. It’s called good sportsmanship.
