Report: Wizards to Name Flip Saunders Coach (Cassell an Assistant)Hog1 05-30-2009, 07:24 AM Good for them! They need some help.......... Gotta' love Sam Cassell. JLee9718 06-22-2009, 04:53 PM All I can say is that Detroit had three ex-Wizards playing for them on their starting five when they won the NBA championship. Is the front office taking advice from Vinny Cerrato? So I don't think Arenas can lead a championship team, but maybe he could if we had some of those ex-wizards back. itvnetop 06-23-2009, 10:00 PM Looks like it was the 5+filler for Foye/Miller. Looks like an upgrade for next season. We'll need some more depth up front, though... we just parted with a bunch of size. Making this its own thread jsarno 06-23-2009, 10:59 PM This is a smart move for the orginization...finally on the right track! JLee9718 06-29-2009, 03:25 PM I like the addition of Miller and Foye over drafting someone with the #5 pick. But why not draft a 7 footer with the 2nd round selection instead of selling it? Any big body would do, or trade it for some other front court pllayer who has NBA experience. I fully expected them to trade some of the guards the wizards have for a front court player. Which 7 footer were you thinking they should draft. Getting $2.5 million for the 2nd round pick isn't a bad move. It gives them some flexibility in free agency. They probably still will try to trade Mike James and another player (maybe Stevenson) though Dirtbag59 06-29-2009, 06:14 PM Which 7 footer were you thinking they should draft. Redskins_P 06-29-2009, 08:17 PM SS, I can't imagine any in the NBA wanting M.James or Stevenson. Especially Stevenson since he's coming off a pretty bad back injury. Also, do you know what FA's that are out there that would be a good fit? I'm assuming they will settle for either a backup C or PF. I prefer a PF....a banger thats a good rebounder. With James' contract expiring some team will take him to write him off their books. Not sure who might be a good fit. Maybe Wilcox or Camby? Other names being mentioned-Villanueva, Sheed, Chris Anderson, Joe Smith, McDyess, Okur |
