My beer should hit my TV screen at about the same instant your Crown and Coke hits your TV screen.

1 Detroit Matt Stafford
2 St Louis Jason Smith
3 Kansas City Aaron Curry
4 Seattle Michael Crabtree
5 Cleveland Brian Orakpo
6 Cincinnati Eugene Monroe
7 Oakland Darius Hayward Bey
8 Jacksonville Jeremy Maclin
9 Green Bay BJ Raji
10 San Francisco Everette Brown
11 Buffalo Michael Oher
12 Denver Ray Maualuga
13 NY Jets Mark Sanchez
14 New Orleans Brian Cushing
15 Houston Tyson Jackson
16 San Diego James Laurinaitis
17 Washington Andre Smith

Good thinking! Predicting trades has got to be as difficult as it gets but this one makes so much sense for both teams that I could envision it. If we could pick up a 2nd rounder and more in this deal and still get Andre Smith, that would be outstanding. Maybe we could pick up a 2nd round pick and a 3rd round pick this year or a 1st round pick next year.

I would definately make the Jets pay to make this move, regardless of what the trade value chart says. That way, if Sanchez turns out to be the real deal and JC doesn't make it here, then we wouldn't feel as bad about the deal.

Actually looking over these short mocks I won't be surprised if it's an active day of trading...I think a lack of talent depth @ certain positions will play a roll: QB, LB, DT. Anyway, gonna be exciting.

Teams in order
Stafford
Curry

Tripp you beat me to the punch with Curry!

1) Stafford
2) Curry (I don't see how a defensive minded coach like Spagnulo can pass on the highest rated player/LB that could be the center piece for his defense.
3) Orakpo :(
4) Seattle trades out someone takes Sanchez
5) Michael Crabtree
6) Eugene Monroe
7) Jeremy Maclin
8) Jason Smith
9) BJ Raji
10) Andre Smith
11) Robert Ayers
12) Tyson Jackson
13) Trade Down or Rey Maualuga

There will definitely be trading in the 7-12 range. All those teams want to go down in the draft, and the teams who need QBs/OTs will have plenty of opportunity to jump in front of us to get there.

Yeah but I also expect some teams to trade into the early teens...the mid to late teens are currently occupied by teams that will gobble up the top RB prospects and whatever is left over at OT, DE, DT and maybe WR, soooo it's possible teams set w/ picks in the bottom 3rd of the 1st round.

...I think this could help us for instance if a late rd team really wants a top RB they probaby trade w/ us cuz the Saints pick at 14 and are now pretty set to take one :)

Great question...I can't know the answer but looking at the draft order I see the Eagles, Pats and Cards all picking in the bottom third of the 1st round right now and each has it own precarious RB situation. Philly lost Buckhalter to Denver, leaving just Westbrook. I mean Westbrook is always a threat but not a true between the tackles RB and Reid isn't gonna forget which division he plays in...NFC east teams need a workhorse. I won't be surprised if the Eagles trade up to grab a top RB. The Pats have Moroney, who is surprisingly injury prone for his age. Basically I think RB is the weak link to the Pats offense so yeah if they're looking to upgrade the offense significantly it could make sense for 'em to trade. Not too sure about the AZ RB situation. Does the Edge even want to stay? And is Hightower a legit #1 back...I don't think they relied on him through the playoffs.
