GMScud 04-27-2009, 11:00 AM I think Morrison not Mike Green. Nothing is confirmed though. DB may get a game suspension.
Yeah, I don't know where this Mike Green stuff is coming from. Apparently ESPN doesn't either, because they don't know why he's in question for game 7.
tryfuhl 04-27-2009, 11:38 AM lol apparently the rangers can't handle having obscenities hurled at them, only team in major league sports I guess.. once you're grown up you should stop whining about things like that, now we have this mess coming up, ugh
jsarno 04-27-2009, 11:49 AM I thought for sure after that win, the Caps would win game 7, however, IF Green is out, that might change my mind. IMO Green is your MVP.
tryfuhl 04-27-2009, 12:26 PM Crazy how you can fight on the ice and receive a few minutes in the box, but you knock someone over and you're looking at maybe missing game 7 of the playoffs.

Well, he blindsided him with a forearm/elbow to the back of the head. I'm a huge Caps fan, but it was dirty and excessive. The fighting is at least mutual and face to face.

they've got helmets and pads
in the NFL we've seen cheapshots draw flags and sometimes ejections, not too often do you get a further suspension
oh well

I just watched another replay online- it wasn't really the back of the head, more like the side of the head, but the guy wasn't looking and it seemed like the incident occurred away from the action.
In the NFL, if a guy gave a blindside forearm to the head of another player 10 yards away from the play, and the guy got knocked out and helped off the field, there would probably be a suspension.
skinsfan_nn 04-27-2009, 04:16 PM The BRASH to miss 6 games. No problem...thats all the CAPS need is a little more motivation!
You better be ready rangers...WE WILL BE!

Brashear Suspended for 6 Games
The NHL has suspended Caps enforcer Donald Brashear for six games for his actions before and during Game 6 at Madison Square Garden.
From NHL.com:
Brashear was suspended one game for initiating contact with Rangers forward Colton Orr during the pre-game warm-up. Brashear was suspended for five additional games for a blind-side hit on New York forward Blair Betts at 9:54 of the first period.
We'll have more on this soon, so stay tuned.
over the mountain 04-27-2009, 04:21 PM tonights game is going to be sweet!!!!! i dont follow them that hard anymore but a game 7 from 3 - 1 down should have everyone in the dc metro area hyped up!!
a caps win could really energize this fan base for next year. maybe ill come back on board.
go skins!!
ArtMonkDrillz 04-27-2009, 04:23 PM 6 games for Brash really sucks, especially with how hard they were going after Ovie at the end of the 3rd yesterday. I just hope the Caps doesn't play down to the rangers level like they did in all three losse. Just stick with what's working, play physical and shoot, shoot, shoot!
OTM, games tomorrow night. You should def. get back on board because this was a great year regardless of what happens tomorrow. Plus, we've found ourselves an awesome young goalie.
