BTW does anybody think Danny/Vinny are catching on to all the negative fan reaction surrounding the Sanchez deal? I mean shit even those who (wrongly) doubt JC's abilities aren't excited about this...I am one of those who doubts JC's ability to become more than a Journeyman QB. I have said in previous posts that I do think He has a chance to have a Kerry Collins type of career/level of success. That being said, I do not believe Stafford will be able to translate to the NFL. He strikes me as a Jamarcus Russell, Uses arm stregnth to force balls into places that will be picked off in the NFL, and doesn't always make good reads/judgements. Sanchez on the other hand may or may not translate to the NFL. But, the lack of experience almost assuredly says that he will not be ready to lead a NFL team for a long time. (multiple seasons) JC is our best shot right now and we have colt to groom as a project. We need to give JC all the tools to succeed. LINEMAN!!!

The more I think about this the more I want to kick Danny in the gonads. I was looking forward to the draft, now it will just be a relief to get day one done.

Well drafting Sanchez at 13 is questionable, but I'd be ok with it, provided we are able to move Campbell for something solid and can make some other moves to get some more day 1 picks to fill needs.

Trading up to get Sanchez is very questionable, but I'd be ok with it, provided we (see above). But it's less likely we could do that if we trade up for Sanchez.

But trading up to #5 is not likely going to be enough to get us Sanchez anyway, and besides haven't we learned not to get so worked up over every rumor that's out there. Or not?

So in either case you'd be okay with seeing Mark Sanchez start at QB against the New York Giants on September 13? Assuming we could get a 1st or a 2nd for Jason Campbell?

I agree with Smootsmack...this is a bunch of BS...the skins just want to guarantee that Sanchez will be taken before 13, so it increases the chance that a quality OT/LB/DE is still on the table...of course I am on medication right now...but ya gotta be positive!

If we did move up, I'd want Orakpo, Monroe or Jason Smith and that could happen if we did indeed move up to 5.

Mack at 13 is better than trading all of our picks for Cutler or Sanchez. You'll be saying I was right when Raback falls down and breaks a hip.
