Any trade for Sanchez is mortgaging the future cuz it means we're stuck w/ him...giving up picks to do so is just adding insult to injury.

SBXVII 04-25-2009, 11:45 AM Do the Rams still have Saunders? Sanchez will not work well in his system. but they may be thinking about trading with us if we are going to give up half our draft picks and possibly trade JC to them considering AS worked with him before and probubly likes him better then Bulger. Funny, only like 3 or 4 teams were interested in him from the start. Now everyone wants him. I think half are looking at how they could take him then trade him to a team that wants him for players and picks. SmootSmack 04-25-2009, 12:57 PM The Jets probably have this intel. Do you think they'll make a play for the 7th overall pick if Sanchez is there? I guess they could, but I have a feeling they won't I believe that if the Rams don't take Sanchez at #2, he will be a Redskin. WaldSkins 04-25-2009, 01:07 PM Mortgaging the future would be trading any picks next season. Hey, if you can get up to 7 or 8 with your third round pick, and you really, really like this guy and you get a little bit lucky and falls, well then, be my guest. Just live in the bed when you make it. No one has traded up into the top five since, gosh, I can't even remember. You don't want to be the team that breaks that streak. Sorta like what we did to select Jason Campbell. |
