Redskins8588 06-15-2009, 11:40 PM "Happy Fathers Day" should suffice, no?
I agree I did not ask for my gifts, again like I said in a different post my wife and I do the whole mother's day, fathers day thing for the kids, to let them give us gifts. Yeah we buy them for each other but its for the kids to give to us.
GMScud 06-16-2009, 12:00 AM I'm not a father yet, but I'm getting some nice steaks and red wine and taking them to my Dad's house this Sunday. Should be fun. It will be low key. I'll probably get him a book, too. He's the most well read man I've ever met, so finding a good book for him is always an interesting challenge.

Well that makes perfect sense. I just hate buying gifts and my mother and father have everything they need or want. I find just making time to spend with them on mother's and father's day is all they really want. My mother was out of town for mothers day so we set a date leter this month for me to pick her up in the boat (they live on the water) and we will take a ride up to a nice returant on the water and have a nice lunch. Not sure what we will do for fathers day but I'm sure it will be something like a cookout with all the family.
JoeRedskin 06-16-2009, 09:57 AM Just a thought - For the father's out there, the moment you are most proud of, enjoy the most, or otherwise caused you to say "Damn, it's great to be a dad!"
For me, it's just watching my son grow into a good young man. He's only six and, yes, he's whiny and petulant at times. But mostly, he is a good kid filled with kindness. His school reports said he is always helping others in his class. He practices random acts of kindness, often giving cherished toys to others b/c "they should be happy too". (Boy is smart too, in kindergarten reading on a 4th grade level, math at a 3rd grade level)
I am damn proud of him and it makes me feel good to say "Yup, that's my boy!!"

That is pretty low trying to down grade JoeRedskin's son's accomplishments. Dude is proud of his son. So what if your kid or neighbor's kid had the same thing written, be proud of them as well, this world needs a lot of good heart people.
What you expect the teachers to write, that your kid could flew over the moon or something.
4mrusmc 06-16-2009, 10:47 PM If your dad is a Redskins fan, buy him the 3 DVD set from Barnes and Noble, "3 Greatest Games-Super Bowl Victories". For the first time, the original network broadcasts of three classic Washington Redskins games are available to own in this thrilling three DVD set. I just got mine a couple of days ago and I just LOVED it! My prayers were answered. I highly recommend this gift, we purchased it for about $26.00.

Yeah I thought it was pretty low too, uncalled for. Glad I wasn't the only who thought that.

Not so fast. This could be another case of his hands not typing what his brain is thinking :)
What's the saying, if don't have anything good to say...
