Bleh...ho hum.

For what they say they're targeting-a 10 minutes a game veteran big man-I don't think Oberto is a bad choice at all

I wouldn't mind Oberto coming here. He's probably willing to take a little less since Detroit will be paying 1.9 million of his contract. That will make his double cost for the Wiz (luxury-tax penalty) easier to swallow. He's smart and has had success. I don't see him lasting more than one, maybe two years, but I like him for now.

Yeah I don't see what is wrong with Oberto. Definitely an upgrade to the roster. You think we can play with Brenda and Oberto at once?

Brenda? My sister is on the Wiz and didn't tell me.

Oberto accepted the offer, so it looks like this team is set unless something comes up during the season and we're able to move Mike James's contract, or package him with another one of our expiring deals (e.g. Mike Miller) for an impact player.

This hasn't been the sexiest offseason for the Wizards, but it has been methodical and has managed to build what should be a solid team.

I'm still waiting to hear about Gil's recent strength-training and workouts in Chicago, but I am optimistic.

Also nice to see that Javale was invited to the US Basketball camp as well. It's the JV squad, but training with elite young players under a smart coach can only help the kid.

I still don't see any improvement in the Wizards, even with Arenas coming back. Man, I hope I'm wrong.

Arenas and Haywood coming back. Plus DeShawn, who adds defensive value. Another year of development for Javale. The addition of Randy Foye. Key veterand depth in Mike Miller and Oberto. Definitely see improvement.

Interesting that the T-Wolves have already traded Etan...to the Thunder.

Now the only thing that I worry about is the improvement of some of the other teams in the East. Either way, I just hope the Wizards play hard and are fun to watch because over the past 2 seasons they haven't done a whole lot to keep my interest up, especially with the Caps playing so well.

But selling the #2 was a surprise to me.
