I was at the game tonight and it was a horrible display of the NFL. Refs were friggin' terrible. No excuse for that PI call on Harris. No excuse not calling the one on guy covering Coles. Otherwise we shoulda won this game. You punch it in on 1st and Goal from the 1 and we win. Or Sellers knows where to line up and we don't waste a TO on him. Get off the weed Sellers!

I was staring at my TV in total disbelief when the score was 7-0, I was like I can't believe the refs just gave the Cowboys 7 points. Let's face it, that's what happened, the cowboys were gift wrapped a TD. One of the all-time worst calls I've seen in my life, make that two. First Harris gets tossed to the ground yet somehow he interfered, then Rod gets his jersey ripped off his shoulder and there's no call.
I'm not one to resort to blaming the referees for a loss, because there are always other circumstances that play in, but last night I really feel that the Skins were ripped off. The refs played a HUGE role in that game.

Can someone explain something to me? What is this other pass interference you are talking about? Was it Gardner in the endzone when it wasnt called? Because if it was that wasnt clear cut, they only call that about 40 percent of the time. That being said the 3rd and 7 pass interference for Dallas was horrendous. In the ref's defense without instant reply it might have been difficult to see, but it just sucks to have a game lost with that hanging over.

The NFL really needs to do something about this. I am so tired of seeing games decided by the officials rather than by the teams themselves. I agree completely that it was a two-score swing with the lousy PI call against the Skins and then the no-call later on.
The NFL has made the decision that they will use the replay technology...well then use it! All this nonsense about a certain number of challenges per half and losing timeouts is ridiculous. Have an official in the booth, if a call is missed, stop the game and correct it. If you aren't willing to do that, then DON'T use the technology at all and be like baseball where the "human-error" element is apparent and embraced.

I agree that there were some bad calls but championship teams overcome bad calls and bad breaks. The skins are not a championship team right now. The skins problem is not the officiating, its their inability to score points.

Yes, you are right Irish, championship teams often do overcome bad calls, but you are also right that this team is not championship caliber and needs at least a fair playing field to get the needed confidence back so that they can become a championship team again. In the NFL, it's awfully hard to overcome a two-score swing on terrible calls, even if you ARE a championship team...almost impossible if you are a marginal team like the Skins are right now.

As for replay, why do all the officials have to be on the field? When a penalty is (or isn't) called, the officials will often have a conference before officially making the call. Why can't an official sitting in the replay booth be a part of these conversations?
I hate to blame a loss on the refs, but they basically spotted the Cowboys at least 3 points (we couldn't get in from the one, so we could have stopped them too). Then when they had a chace to redeem themselves on the Gardner play, there was no call.....complete BS!!!
