Horton hears a Huff?stu_nna 06-30-2009, 07:39 PM yeah i did but it took a minute to understand what you were sayin Smooter 06-30-2009, 07:52 PM After reading through his page and clicking on on Hiram Eugene's wiki it says he was benched for poor tackling. I'm not sure if he'd be an upgrade over Doughty. No thanks. 53Fan 06-30-2009, 09:07 PM I don't know about Huff. I'm not sure why his recent play has been poor- is it him or Oakland? Also, we might be better off letting Horton develop. I also wonder what the price tag will be. Same here. Nflnick11 06-30-2009, 11:28 PM Other than Derrick Burgess, Asoumgha & the linebacker I can't think of his name who has actually had success in Oakland's defensive scheme since the Super Bowl appearance? I believe that linebacker your talking about is Thomas Howard who has led the league in ints among OLBs; he's the real raider we should get not huff John Denny 07-01-2009, 01:52 AM I'd say our secondary is our biggest strength. GMScud 07-01-2009, 02:17 AM I automatically thought of Aubrey Huff from the Orioles and was perplexed how this bum had something to do with Horton. Aburey Huff a bum? He led the AL in extra base hits last year, hit .304 with 32 homers and 108 RBIs, and is on pace for a similar season so far this year. Pretty damn far from being a bum. As for Huff from the Raiders, I say let Moore and Horton develop, and we've got Landry. DCtoAZ 07-01-2009, 03:36 AM Huff ?? How about let's focus on #48 Hornton .. this guy was a steal in the 7th round and will be a hell of a deal for at least the next 2 years before contract demands begin to ship up .. everytime I think of this Defense I must be drinking some skins' kool aid cause I'm just loving this team .. SACKS BANAZA !! freddyg12 07-01-2009, 09:32 AM Safety is IMO our deepest position. It will be a real camp battle & the staff will need to make a major decision about Landry, play him at SS & Moore at FS? Or Horton/Reed at SS, LL at FS? Kareem Moore really looked good late last year & I expect him to pick his game up a lot this summer. That said, I was surprised Huff has had such a tough time in Oak. I watched him in a no. of games at Tex. & I thought he looked great. He was all over the field in coverage & v. the run. I saw him block a FG in one game. I thought he'd be a good pro. We just don't need any competition at safey, it's one position we are set at barring injuries. MTK 07-01-2009, 09:42 AM A player struggling in Oakland? Get outta here! BleedBurgundy 07-01-2009, 10:23 AM If Huff played DE... or WSB... nevermind, it's been said too many times. |
