Lotus 07-08-2009, 04:46 PM Really .....hmmm ok,well then..........Fred Smoot and the "Love Boat" incident in Minn,Skins new about that and brought him back anyway ................correct?Why?
Yes, the 'Skins did sign Smoot knowing about the Love Boat fiasco, and Smoot's is a parallel story.
But the subject of conversation was the tolerance of Giants fans of misbehavior, in the case that of Boley...back to the subject, please.

OK, lets hit a little closer to home. Sean Taylor..........no saint yet the Skins saw that while he was young he might come around...if they could put up with some of his stupidity. They did and he did.....my point is Giant fans put up with being NEW York Giant fans....we trust the FO to do the right thing and our GM Jerry Reese has done a good job so far,so I for one while not sure about this guy trust Reese so if he says ok,well ....then ok.:)

..............and you don't know either, pretty sure you weren't there. No I'm not defending it but before you get on your high horse ....very few NFL teams don't have someone whom has not gotten in trouble, the age alone of theses rookies and the money they make just screams for trouble.

Still, the Giants took a chance on a player with pending legal problems and that's what we are discussing. We are not discussing Fred Smoot or the late Sean Taylor. Your player is being suspended for one game and not Smoot.
I'm sure if I were on a Giants board, the same thing would be discussed if Albert Haynesworth was being suspended (but he's not).
The Goat 07-09-2009, 12:23 AM What I don't like is how Boley's legal issues didn't receive much mention while he was a free agent. He was listed as a pretty high prospect on many sites but I don't remember seeing anything about this stuff. Obviously GM's and franchise decision-makers would be aware cuz it's there job to know, but I don't like the "missing" info just from my own perspective. I wouldn't have considered Boley as a guy to look at knowing this...despite what giantone and whoever else may think/say i think we keep a pretty damn clean organization and personally i'm proud of the skins for not making this kind of news the vast majority of the time.
skins89moss 07-09-2009, 03:59 AM One less player we have to worry about! and they dont have last years starting WR(Burress) and one of their Back up RB threats. Redskins should be 1-0!
Good point, but the Giants played us the 2nd game at FedEx without Burress and we got drilled. I sure hope we play much better opening game this season then last year.

..........so....the statement was how Giant fans find this type of thing acceptable,I pointed out it does happen on every team and we really don't know the facts but how the team knows better then the fans do.Your point is?
