I have that date marked on my calendar and it better be a win for us. We have played him once as a coach of another team and that was when he was coach of the Raiders. We lost that game and are now 0-1. We need to even the score.

LOL...Norv did nothing to us...he was merely a pawn in Snyder's fantasy football team.

Norv could have done much better if the ownership question was not in doubt in the early to mid 90's. Jack Cooke should have left the team to John Cooke and maybe the ownership could have focused more on actually rebuilding the team.

Also, the Heath Schuler bomb itself pretty much messed up Norv's tenure from the get go. He got stuck with going with Frerotte as his starter, not much more you have to say. I liked Gus, but he wasn't ever going to be a HOF caliber type.

John Cooke did not want the team in the passionate way that his father did., and if he had become the owner, he would not have cared two hoots. Jack Kent Cooke did us a favor.

My store is a hot bed for athletes and celebs...in the past 2 days I have met Jeff Garcia, and met Kirsten Dunce. I didn't expect to meet either of those two.
Jeff was a top notch guy. Didn't seemed phased by his celebrity, he even told me his name was Jeff, then I looked at him (because I was wondering what Jeff Garcia was doing in my starbucks in the SD area) and he said "Garcia". I laughed and said "what are you doing here?" Which in hindsight sounded rude, but I knew he was in Oakland so I asked if they were playing SD and he said no, he was in town to see family. Had a short conversation with him, and you got the impression he was a great guy.
Dunce on the other hand...well let's just say I don't have a high opinion of her now. I always thought she was pretty, but TV really does a lot for you. Keep in mind my store is right near the beach so she had no make up on. She was way too skinny too, and shorter than I thought.
If Jessica Alba, or Jessica Beil comes in, I might lose my job from staring! haha.

If Alba or Beil start frequenting your store, i'm leaving my wife here and VA and begging for some sort of job in your store.

i think the quiet demeanor has something to do with his lack of success as an N.F.L head coach. there are definitely times when you have to bring it. just listen to some of the older skins, and coach Joe would let loose when neededTony Dungy is probably even more reserved than Norv, very rarely raising his voice to players. He seemed to do pretty well. Leadership is more about inspiring others than about being loud.

LOL, Kirsten Dunce.

Kirsten Dunst might be offended by that.

I was working at a restaurant in Reston and he was in there right after he got fired. A few people bought him drinks and he seemed appreciative. I doubt he has any problems with Skins fans, but must have a huge chip on his shoulder in regards to Danny Snyder and rightfully so...I always felt so bad for the guy. The way Danny treated him was offensive...making him wait outside his office for hours after a loss. His post-game interviews were painful, knowing that he had to go face Danny Boy. Admittedly, it was tough to watch his teams. They put points on the board, but as someone posted earlier, he couldn't hold onto a lead. Looking back, the late game chokes were more of a Mike Nolan problem than a Norv problem. It's good to see Norv doing well in San Diego.
