Campbell was pretty good on third down, but he didn't have a completion on first or second down. Part of that was bizarre playcalling with the deep balls, and the rest of it seemed to be just runs. Overall, I'm not convinced this team is much better than they were last year. But it is only six quarters. Theismann is dead wrong saying Thomas waited on the ball while the defensive guy moved towards it. It was a soft pass into coverage and the defensive guy just ran in front and caught it.
