Ahh yeah caught that earlier but forgot to post it. Wonder what they see in Robinson over Eloi, not that I really know enough about either to say that they shouldn't have made the move.

I think Eloi is just seriously raw. I think at the high school level he has so much talent he over shadows everyone else. I think at the college level where you might have 1 player at each position who is great while the others are just going through the motion hoping someone picks them up.

Eloi strikes me as the player that is definitly not the best WR of any bunch but is most likely the best on his team. Most likely never taught the finer points of the position cause college does not have time to teach that. Players come in and are gone two or three years later skipping out on their Junior or Senior year to apply for the draft. On any given Pro NFL team his abilities create interest but with out the finer points and with out any position coach wanting to take the time one on one to develope him he will be in this position. On a practice squad, off a practice squad.

What he really needs to do is find the best of the best, like a Jerry Rice or someone who can spend the time with him during one off season and work with him every day. Maybe by next year he would be ready to help out the team a little.... like Kelly. :) One ball a game.

my only question about it is, I don't see WR depth as much of a need, so why not bring in, um i dont know OL? or LB's? I don't get much of the logic. Now maybe they try to mirror opponents, and use them for practice that way, I don't know. But if they are using it as a developmental tool, then other positions would top my list...

The practice squad is used more as a scout team that practices along with the starters during the week and helps them get ready for the opponent. I'm not really sure what the reasoning is behind selecting different players

And frankly who cares. I've never heard of anyone stressing the importance of making sound practice squad moves in building a winner.

Eloi played for no one and this new guy played for Cleveland and Miami...so I have no clue what the reasoning for any of the moves are any more.

My oppinion which is worth probably nothing is the practice squad is for teams to keep and develope players for the future. Apparently it's not.

On a side note just heard on 94.4FM that someone was moved up from PS and Alridge was resigned. :)
