I saw a "game within a game" during Redskins-Giants yesterday.

Third and 7 at thier own 10, the coaching staff showed a tremendous amount of "no-faith" in Campbell when they ran the ball with Portis. Not taking anything away from CP, but those are the situations where you simply must trust your QB to get it done. And they did not do that.

That was my first reaction, but thinking about it more, I have a feeling that Zorn basically outsmarted himself. Remember CP had pulled a 20+ yard run only a few plays ago, and I am sure Zorn felt everyone would be playing pass, so, lets run again. I don't agree at all, and think a play action on first would have been a far better call, but c'est la guerre

I'll call it right now

Skins 24
Rams 7

That sounds about right to me.

I say just let JC throw it deep at some point he will get lucky and hit his man.

Didn't see say we would easily beat STL last season too?

I'm in the same boat as you. I don't think this is going to be a blowout by any means, though a blowout would be nice. I'll let the week continue on, see how the coaches and players talk during the week and make a prediction later on.

Play action would have been a good call. But as far as the run, if I am not mistaken, the offense was set up in a 2 TE set with 1 WR and a 2 back set. If I am on defense looking at that offense, I am thinking run first and keeping my LB's at home.

The least they could have done was allow JC the "luxury" of an audible if he counted too many Giants jerseys in the box.

Just like Aaron Rodgers, we have 7 receivers; use them all.

Good idea cause there is no easy game for our lame ducks. Every game game they play this year are going to be hard ones concedering the way the team already looks. But as the saying goes there's always hope. RIGHT

This game is a trap. The Redskins always plays to the level of the competition. They seem to get ready for the tougher teams and let up on weaker teams. They beat the Rams in every way last year but on the scoreboard. The Skins turned over the ball at crucial times and did not capitalize when they should have. The better beat the Lambs. If not, its going to be a long, long season.
