Seriously, screw Henson. He's the professional. We came to see him play, not the other way around. If your feelings were hurt, take the high road. Don't lash out at the fans. Sure, two wrongs don't make a right but don't air your feelings over the entire internet and embarrass yourself, your team, and this great city. And don't do it in such a tone, as if you earned the right to do it! That's what really get's my goat about his tweet. I could maybe take some shit like this from a Clinton Portis, a John Riggins, or a Chris Cooley. Maybe. Someone that came here and made a difference from day one. Someone that showed deference to the uniform and the rich tradition of this organization. But Robert Henson? Who in the hell are you, with no sense of Redskin tradition and pride, to come here and say that the fans are fake? You don't know shit about D.C. and how this city (and it's fans) have endured many barren years and supported this team through thick and thin.

I've seen a lot of Redskins come and go since the '80s. And I've seen many booed and many come under fire, but never have I seen a player of this organization pick a beef with the fans of this great city and make it so personal. Tweet that.

And by the way, it's okay for the fans to boo their team once in a while.

Amen

Henson will get a chance to spend some quality time with fans tomorrow

Dumb mistake on Henson's part. What you say and what you think shouldn't always be the same thing. Plus, the biggest mistake really is when he gets into the whole "I've already made more money than you'll ever make at your 9 to 5 McDonalds job." That was unnecessary.

I too thought the McDonalds comment was just a little over the top. He will learn you can't always say what you think.

My family has been going to Redskins games for many, many years, long before Lombardi, Allen and Gibbs1. We have seen the good, the bad, and the ugly, but we have never booed even when the teams were much more horrible than the team we see today. However, we have always been of the opinion fans have the right to voice their displeasure, the players need to be mature enough to understand that.

This is unfortunate for Henson, from my understanding he's a great kid. There's a lot of fairweather Redskin fans who really don't care for the Skins. He hit a nerve with the Redskin Nation with his comments and I do forgive him, but I'm sure he'll never be a fan favorite. Maybe if he plays lights out against Dallas, but I doubt it.

Henson's a young and emotional player. It was a stupid thing to say. He shouldn't tweet or whatever it's called until he's calmed down. If he wants forgiveness he's got mine. I'm over it. If I had a nickel for every time I said something stupid in the heat of the moment.....I could probably buy the Redskins.

Did he really say that? OMG!! This is the very point I as making in my rant. We have a right to boo them before during or after the game. If we pay our hard earned money for expensive tickets. henson hasn't been on the team long enough and hasn't contributed ish to the team. So he doesn't have the right to say anything. As far as the McDonalds comment. That is unacceptable. If someone did work at McDonald's and came to see our team play and spent their hard earned money to watch the game and we give a piss poor perfomance then we can show our displeasure. Throwing stuff no. First I have heard of that. But the message needed to be sent to them. That we are fed up and we expect another level of professionalism and passion. I hope he's not on the team next year. Seriously. He's not that great of an athelete. That was so disrespectful.

Well I don't have a tweeter account and don't want one either, but the fans should be the least of the Redskins troubles so far. I have been here from George Allen to George Gibbs 2nd coaching stint so Ive seen the good and the bad. No this team is not our worst team but Zorn has to much talent not to be a better offense. At least all the J. Campbell haters can't blame him. Robert Henson you have been here for a few months as a Redskin player so you don't know the frustration that Redskins fans have been living with for the last few season watching this offense struggle to score. Henson please work hard and help this team when you get your chance to play thats what you should focus on . Redskin fans love this team thats why it is so painful to watch this team take 2 steps forward and 3 steps back.

I just watched Robert Henson with Larry Michaels and he now realizes that he let his emotions get the best of him and was sorry for the statement he tweeted. Lets move on and get back to football. If fans boo thats their right but to throw something from the stands is out right BS. That fan needs to get his ass kicked. This is not the black hole were you expect ignorant behavior. HTTR.

Well, it was out of line for him to say it and he apologized. Henson didn't grow up with a silver spoon in his mouth and he's been through a lot just to get to where he is today. I say we forgive him and move on.

If this type behavior continues to occur, it may not be long before the league is forced to take a long hard look at tweeter as a means of communication between athletes and fans. From the onset I had anticipated the possibility of something of this nature happenng, espically in moments where tension and emotion is involved.

Having been around the game as long as I have, I sometimes find it rather confounding to witness some of the things happening in the game today. Not sure some of it is good for the athlete, the game of football, or the fans. Maybe tweeter needs to be policed.

Heard what he wrote and heard his apology.

To say the fans don't have anything to gripe about is BS. We purchase the merchandise, we purchase the food at the game, we pay the cost to go see the game, we pay for Sunday ticket, we pay the parking fee, we pay for a lot. If it was not for the fan money would not be coming in to pay for their salaries. As a fan we all feel we are getting taken to the cleaners already. Some of us can't even afford to go to a game due to cost or distance. All in all we want to get what we are paying for. We are paying for a Cadalac and their giving us a Chevy Cavalier. A good car no doubt that runs well but it's not a Cadalac. As the announcers said on 106.7 last night, it's not like we lost one or two games and no one should be bitching....this has been going on for a dacade or two. Mediocracy. People have grown to except mediocracy. "It's just a game." " Their busting their butts." and so on.

I think we all know they are working hard but for some reason our team seems to be stagnant on offense in the Red zone and it's been this way for over 10yrs. One would think they would have figured out the problem by now.

I have no hard feelings toward any player upset with the fan base. They are busting their butts and not getting results they are frustrated. We as fans are frustrated for seeing the same problems year after year. He was not suited up so he was a spectator also just as frustrated as the rest of us.

Apology excepted.
