Snyder fires Zorn, announces Gruden is hired (Gruden announces on MNF that he has no idea what Snyder means), Danny kidnaps Stafford and flies him home on Redskins 1, and Jansen switches uniforms re-joins the Redskins at the half when Heyer goes down with a torn thumb muscle.

I think Calvin Johnson catches a jump ball touchdown (the kind that we should be throwing to Malcolm Kelly), bust aside from that, Detroit musters only a FG, and our defense sets up a short field a few times via turnovers.

Our offense continues to move the ball outside of the red zone, but struggles yet again to find paydirt. Skins win another close game, and questions about Zorn and the offense continue.

Washington- 16
Detroit- 10

Anyone picking us to score in the 30's is dreaming. I'm not picking us to score more than 20 points in a game until, well, we score more than 20 points in a game.

Im pretty nervous about this game and living with a mass of eagles fans is going to be horrible if we lose. I think we open up with either a long drive capped off with a 32 yard td by antwaan randle el, or a long drive to a missed detroit field goal depending on who kicks off. Haynesworth sacks Stafford three times and we get up 13-0 fast. From there Detroit is gonna drive back to a 14-13 lead in the 3rd quarter and remains like that until the 4th when we have another reverse pass by randle el to malcolm kelley that actually works setting us up with a td. Detroit drives down and gets a field goa and we score again to win.

17 - 20 Skins.

Carlos Rodgers gets tested, and answers with a (gasp) pick 6.

Man oh man, I'm very worried about this game. Very worried. Alot of people are picking the Lions to win... and I have absolutley no problem with that. I think the Lions have a very good shot at breaking their streak. If the Redskins offense plays in the Red Zone like they did last week, I dont' care how well our defense plays, I would almost gaurantee the Lions win. I think they're a better team than St. Louis is.

That being said, across the board we have much more talent than the Lions. If it werent for a long run by Stephen Jackson on one play that Hall took a bad angle last week, we probaboly shut out the Rams. (and if Avery dosent fumble, we might lose, too). Offensivley, Detroit was able to score against New Orleans, and played a good 1st Quarter against Minnesota. I think the Redskins have always played better under pressure, and they're under alot of pressure this week. They're being absolutley trashed on offense, and rightfully so. This game goes one of two ways, if you ask me... We get our asses in gear and score a few touchdowns and win comforatbly like 24-7 or something like that. However, if its a close game, I think Detroit will win. Here's hoping the Skins' jump out to a 10-14 point lead early and take control of the game.

I'm gonna go with the first route, because I want to belive in this team and say 24-7 Redskins.

I will not be shocked if it ends up going Detroits way.

Considering the way the season has gone for us so far, I could see the Lions looking at this game feeling they have a chance to win. Don't think it's going to happen but I can understand their aspirations.
