SmootSmack 09-28-2009, 02:39 PM The players are the issue. These are essentially the same guys that couldnt/wouldnt do anything for Gibbs, now they wont do anything for Zorn. These guys cant/wont execute no matter whats called or who's calling it.
How many different times and in how many different threads are you just going to say the same thing?

I'm making my point as as many times as the others are in multiple threads about Zorn. Thanks for asking though.

Yup the same ignorant point, just repeating over and over and over.......we hear ya man.
If you really dont think there are issues with the coaching, you should just quit watching football. This team is more talented than the ones that Gibbs took to the playoffs, the difference is they were willing to run through a wall for Gibbs. The heart of this team needs to be questioned, and that starts with coaching, but Zorn has lost the locker room.

I dont recall saying there werent any issues with coaching but maybe you can point out where I did. Zorn has his problems as do the players. I just think that the coaching is now a moot point because these guys havent played for any coach so it doesnt matter who the coach is.
I love selective amnesia, they werent willing to run through walls for Gibbs, in fact they had trouble scoring for Gibbs like they do for Zorn. That's why Gibbs brought in Saunders but that didnt work either. I see a lot of parallels in the Zorn questions that I saw in the Gibbs doesnt have it anymore arguements. But like I said, selective amnesia is great so keep it going.
How do you know JZ has lost the locker room? How do you know he ever had the locker room to have lost it? Are you in the locker room? I doubt it. If you think JZ is the heart of this team you are nuts. I'm not sure who is the heart of the team but it aint Zorn. The best answer I can come up with is DS and that could be why this teams has problems.

Hey I don't kow who's fault it is but I'm thinking finally....rebuild mode.
PennSkinsFan 09-28-2009, 03:44 PM You know, for once i would love to see Jim Zorn stop talking about these great players, great captains, professionals, blah blah, blah, and instead, get pissed, throw his damn clip board, and show some kind of emotion.
firstdown 09-28-2009, 03:45 PM Haynesworth has a strained glute, should be fine (I always knew he was a "pain in the ass" :) ) What Zorn meant was "Guess he landed on his wallet."
-We didn't win the one on one battles in coverage - Translated "Our secondary got beat like a stray dog at Michael Vicks house."
-Lions max protected almost all day - Translated "We could not pressure a rookie QB."
-We flushed Stafford out of the pocket on the two big plays, secondary didn't hold their responsibilities and we paid for it. Translated - "See the Vick comment".
-In the big picture, things are progressing, we're getting better. It's not showing in the wins. There are high expectations for us. We have high expectations for us. Translated - "I dont get it, the game plan worked on MADDEN NFL 2010!"
-I don't look back at last year. 2008 is gone. I'm only dealing with 2009
Translated "I'd rather not be reminded of finishing poorly last season, and am focused solely on starting poorly this year."
-We have excellent men, great captains in the locker room. Captains are doing a great job keeping our guys together. Translated "They are truly a team on TWITTER to tell the world how bad we don't want it."
-Last play, we ran a play that gave us the opportunity to maybe pitch, catch and get in running (???) Translated - "Saw this play work flawlessly on an 8th grade playground on the way to the stadium, still don't know why it did not work for us. but we will keep it in the playbook and practice it more."
-Chad did a nice job in the run game, decent in the passing game, didn't affect my play calling at all. Translated - "See my MADDEN 2010 comment."
-Malcolm has to improve his playing speed- Translated "Malcolm is SLOW."
-We have tremendous talent on this football team and we as coaches have to put the players in the right position and the players have to go out and make the play. Translated - "We have tremendous talent on this team, and unfortunately the coaching talent is well below the talent level of our squad."
And then we flip over to december presser for Dallas:
-Well yes we try hard to win in December but we just make little mistakes.
-Yes I no Romo cannot win in Dec or January but he looks great for the other 12 games when he is not throwing int's.
-Yes I understand that I will probably not be the coach after we lose our last game and we miss the playoffs once again.
KI Skins Fan 09-28-2009, 03:46 PM Right now, I'm just trying to stay medium until Zorn is gone. For me, this press conference simply reinforces my notion that Zorn is totally clueless.
I swear, Snyder and Cerrato are actually making worse coaching decisions as time goes on. Spurrier at least had an excellent track record as a college coach but Zorn did not have the background to be hired as a Head Coach. Zorn's failure was and is predictable.
I'd like to think that when Zorn is fired and a new Head Coach is hired things will improve but how can I when I look at the record of the people who will be making the hiring decision?

yes show some emotion and maybe he will get some respect
