skinsfan69 10-08-2009, 11:55 AM Jason Campbell is undefeated, undefeated, in the regular season against the Panthers in his career. That's zero losses people.
Just putting the facts out there
Redskins finally break the 20 point mark, thanks to a Devin Thomas kick off return to start the second half. Skins 21, Panthers 10
Are you being serious? Or are you joking? I think they've only played once since he's been the starter. lol.
Paintrain 10-08-2009, 12:01 PM Panthers 27
Redskins 14
I don't see us winning at Carolina to a team that's coming off of their bye and has one major problem on offense which is turnovers. Their biggest issue defensively is stopping the run, which we haven't done effectively this year. The prospect of Heyer one on one vs. Peppers is damn scary.
44Deezel 10-08-2009, 12:02 PM If we crack 30 points in this game, I will give up all the things I love in life.
Speaking of crack, I wonder how much Over the Mountain smokes every day:Smoker:
Beemnseven 10-08-2009, 12:06 PM Yet you have more confidence in a team that has been a bigger train wreck than us so far?
They've played Philly, Atlanta and Dallas. They were competitive in their last two games. Our wins were by a combined total of five points to teams who are destined for top 3 picks in next year's draft.
They're playing at home, they can run the ball while we've had problems stopping it, and we don't score much.
Is celts that far off?
Daseal 10-08-2009, 12:12 PM Carolina wins fairly easily. I dont see us being able to compete. Our best chance of winning is Delhomme being Delhomme.
GMScud 10-08-2009, 12:15 PM I expect MOS until I see something that indicates I should feel otherwise, I'll recognize it when I see it.
Yup. I totally agree. They play at home and they've had a bye week to regroup and rest. I still can't believe the denial of the folks on here who think we're going to score over 30. In fact, we've only broken the 30 point mark ONCE in the last 21 games. Ugh.
The Panthers may be winless, but their personnel is far better than the Bucs, Rams, and Lions IMO. The only thing working in our favor is Jake Delhomme. He's been awful. In fact, I put the over/under at 2 for Carlos Rogers' dropped INTs this Sunday.
I hate to say it, but Panthers 24-Redskins 14, and the turmoil in Ashburn gets yet another game closer to boiling over. D'Angelo Williams will have a big game and help the Panthers overcome a pair of turnovers by Delhomme.

They got smoked by Philly, managed to keep it close with ATL yes, but against Dallas they unraveled in the 2nd half and it really wasn't as close as the score indicated.
They are horrible on offense, 29th in points, 25th in total yards, 23rd passing yards, 20th rush yards, and their defense has been hit hard with injuries and ranks 30th in points, 23rd in total yards, 6th against the pass, 32nd against the rush.
So yeah I think Celts is a little off, but that's just my opinion. Could they win? Sure. I just don't see it being by a wide margin.

Delhomme throws this one away obv. Thanks buddy.
I hate saying this, but I'm going to. Malcolm Kelly will score a TD this week. If he fails to do this, I will never mention his name again.
SBXVII 10-08-2009, 01:11 PM I think these next two weeks of football will tell the tale of how are season is going to unfold. We NEED to capitalize on both Carolina, then KC. If we can get two wins the next two weeks well who knows.
I do think both these games are MUST WIN games for the SKINS to have any chance to a positive outcome of this season.
I would be pleasantly surprised to see us start in Carolina, picking up where we left off in the 3rd quarter of the Bucs game. Being that was for the most part the only quarter we played, and yes the D did play the 4th also. We have to play 60 minutes of football to win this game against a starving Carolina team that is ready to pop a teams bubble, not that we have much of one to pop.....but if we do play with the same effort in the game as we played in the 3rd quarter of last week and just add 45 more minutes of solid play I like our chances.
If we do the usual, we will get chewed up.
Thoughts on this weeks game?
Ha, sometimes I get a brain fart also and have trouble remembering how to spell the smallest of words. :) It would have been funnier had you simply used "R" instead. :) Totally not making fun of you just basking knowing someone else has the same problems.
