KLHJ2 10-19-2009, 12:09 PM I have already answered this question. I would like to note that although it is not in the post that all of these decisions are based on the offense only. I would keep the D in tact.

hooskins 10-19-2009, 12:14 PM I think you have to think with reverse logic. The guy you may want to keep may have a lot of trade value. Of course big time trades dont really happen in the NFL because of cap, etc. but from this point of view I trade Cooley.
Again if we are looking at a 110 percent blowup and startover, I think this is the way you go. Not just trading Cooley but a lot of big names, pending no cap hits.

I think we need to just blow up the offense the defense is pretty young and talented.
Landry, Horton, Orakpo, Jarmon, Wilson, Golston, Monty, McIntosh, Hall, Doughty, Haynsworth (27 or 28), Alexander, Tryon, Blades, Barnes, Moore you can't get much younger or talented than that.
SFREDSKIN 10-19-2009, 12:34 PM Offense:
Dockery
Williams
Montgomery
Rinehart (one last chance)
Mason
Sellers
Alridge
Kelly
Thomas
Mitchell
Cooley
Davis
Brennan
Defense:
Orakpo
Jarmon
Golston
Alexander
Haynesworth
Carter (contract)
McIntosh
Fletcher
Wilson
Barnes
Tryon
Horton
Doughty
Moore
Blades
Hall (contract)
Trade:
Moss
Portis
Landry
DynamiteRave 10-19-2009, 12:39 PM The entire defense. If we can upgrade over Rogers to one that can catch the ball, that would be the only necessary move. We have enough young talent to replace Wynn and Daniels (move Orakpo to DE and get Jarmon more involved).
We can add a LB too to replace some of the older departing players, but I can't say anyone playing on the D right now needs cut.
Offense needs overhauled except Cooley, Moss, Kelly and possibly Portis if we can use him with a complementary back.
I think after Roger's little tirade about the FO, we won't have to worry about not looking for his replacement.

Think we can get rid of Daniels or hope he retires, start Orakpo as a DE and search for another OLB?

In totality Rogers still may be the best corner on the team... There is a very good chance they have to keep him around.

I agree, unfortunately because of the contract awarded to Hall he has to be kept instead because of the cap hit.
Chico23231 10-19-2009, 01:41 PM Offense- Cooley, Sellers, Dock, Moss
