Hey I thought that was my title.

You have to fight about 7,769,089 Virginians and at least one current Maryland resident for that title.

I'd give those from Mary Land & North Cack-a-lacky a pass. Y'all seem like good people.

In my view:

"The South"
Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas, Louisiana, Texas

"The North"
Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachussets, New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine

"The Midwest"
Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Missouri, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma

Then you got the "Southwest" and the "Northwest", and some states I don't know what to do with, like Maryland, Ohio, Michigan, and Colorado.

I think it's considered Midwest.

We're technically the Northeast

How do you put Deleware in the North and not know where to put Maryland?

It's nominally midwest, but midwest itself is a vague term used to describe the region of the country between pennsylvania and the rockies. Great Lakes midwest might as well be known as the north compared to plains midwest, which might as well be known as the south.

Really though, it's just a "Big Twelve" state. Oklahoma, Kansas, both Dakotas, Nebraska, Missouri, and perhaps Iowa as well are their own region. So if you want to call that midwest, call it midwest. The only argument for "South" is if you call Texas part of the South.

Really, the only two choices here are "Midwest", or "Texas".
