I don't see how you could ever forget something like that...or how you could ever get those images out of your head. I think I would have nightmares about something like that for the rest of my life. WOW...At least you were there to help.

Somethings you just can't unsee, sadly. My uncle was a firefighter in RI and saw a lot of this and also young children in situations like this. We as a family to this day belive that is the main reason he commited suicide, he just could not shake the images.

Never had any nightmares but images still pop up when I see an accident and they are as clear as they where 20 years ago. When I see a movie and people are running around screaming its like I flash back to that day and those images take the place of the movie.

No it does not affect my life one bit just something I'll never forget. Well it did probably change how I drive some.

I was on drill one weekend in 2004, and literally right across the street from the base a guy got shot at the Sheetz. It was like 10:25 at night, and i heard the shots...pop pop pop. I called the police from the base radio.....crazy night

I didn't actually see the shooting. but i was on firewatch, and i heard the shots. The sheetz was in crepastown md, in a very, very bad part of town. Even being at the base i never felt secure because i didnt know if some crackhead protester would drive by and empty a clip.....
