Its a start, but as others said I could care less.Fire Vinny and start drafting more from the trenches. That would show that the FO realizes they were wrong and they are now changing due to that.
This "apology" isn't that. I haven't changed my opinion and I wont till I see real change.

I Can't beleive that people think that this guy doesnt want to win. nothings more profitable than a winning franchise.

How do you know Snyder wants to win? Just because he pays out money to big FA names? Guy is smart, he has maximized his profit with a losing product year in year out in a NFL market that is rather small anymore. He could maximze jersey, sweatshirt, and cap sales, etc, with a SB run, but that is it. With a 5 year waiting period for season tickets they guy is already at maximum capacity with regards to filling the stadium. Have the Skins had a game blacked out yet due to poor attendance like the Lions always do? Snyder knows his "market" rather well. Keep em hooked with new coaches, schemes, hot FA signings and they will come and buy crap. Thing is you are in DC, the place where all the tax loot comes in to feed ungodly large bureacracies along with lobbyists, etc. My point is Detroiters and folks in SE Michigan and the rest of the rust belt do not have the time or money to waste on overpriced circuses in the form of crappy football. Snyder chose his market well. It is small, yet loaded with dough. Couple that with the fact that we are a bread and circuses society anymore and you have a no lose situation for Snyder unless Skins fans show some balls and quit caring.
For your sake do not go into business because its clear you do not undstand how to maximize a profit.

He gave up the bulk of control, no owner will give up all control, you just don't like who he gave it up to (I don't blame you).

If he was smart he would follow the Presidents Rule of Thumb.....as I do...
1) Nixon: "I'm not a Cooke."
2) Clinton: Flat out deny, "I did not hire Vinny Cerrato."
When the public starts clammering...
3) Bush SR: "Read my lips, I did not hire Vinny Cerrato."
When evidence is mounting that you are lying....
4) Reagan: "I don't recall hiring Vinny Cerrato."
When it's blatently obvious...
5) Clinton: "Mistakes were made in hiring Cerrato."
6) Bush JR: "I'm going to fixidate this here clusterphobia."
I hope this helps all of you....I know I apply these tried and true Presidental statements to everything if it's a disaster. I hope it helps you as well.....;)
Edit: I'm sorry I forgot the last one, offer food cause everyone likes food..
7) Carter: "Would you like a peanut?"
Excellent

I think he does want to win, but got to disagree with your last part of the statement. Snyder has kept the Redskins at the top of all NFL franchises since he's been there in terms of value, despite a subpar record over the last ten years. Why aren't the Giants or Eagles more valuable then?

The Giants are not that valuable because New York is a baseball town. The Iggles....well I dunno. And winning is profitable, since the Pats have been up there in the profit top 5 during their winning steak (even though Boston is a baseball town first and basketball town second).

I would tend to agree with that but conversely I guess you could say that losing is not profitable.
What Snyder has done with offseason free agent frenzys of players AND coaches is make a losing franchise profitable. New season tickets are sold and locked up during these spring and summer months when the Skins are making big splashes...great from a marketing perspective.
Within the last 2-3 months the Redskins were listed as the highest revenued NFL team pulling in $345 million dollars on the year.
Now ask yourself...Does Dan Snyder want to win?
...in the illustrious words of Dan Snyder himself: "If it ain't broke don't fix it"

Nope, the Giants Igglets and other don't own their own stadium like the SKins(Thanks to JKC)...the Giants will solve that next year, also the Giants don't over sell the team like Snyder does.
