Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2

I'm more the Zombie type also. I kept holding out hope that they would have brought it to CoD MW1 so players could try it out in the more modern maps and use modern weapons. Nada. They could have changed the clothing and called it just Zombies which would have been cool.

I too was hoping maybe they will make a map of Zombies with the new CoD MW2, but most likely not. They should wait about 3 weeks then release a map pack with just Zombie maps on it for CoD WAW. That way the new game rakes in money its first few weeks, then the new map pack would also rake in money.

Are both companies that build COD using the same basic software format? I ask cause it wouldn't be that hard to add Zombies if they were. I think there was a change from MW1 and WAW, but if there using the same basic principals then it could be added easily with a map pack.

Treyarch came up with the Zombie mode so that's sort of their deal. They may even have some sort of exlusive rights to it so I doubt we'll see it in a MW title.

I played a good amount this weekend. I am level 21 or 22 now. The key is to start learning the maps once you know a map it is much easier to get kills. I think this may have elicplsed Halo for me now. As your weapons get stronger the funnier the game gets. I will say there is a pretty steep learning curve to COD but once mastered lots of fun ahead.

Also I like how you can power up without having to win every match, on Halo they have that complicated forumla they use to increase your levels. Plus the matching on COD is fairly good I have never played against anyone higher then 39. Halo's match making is horrible you will be lumped in with the kid who has not left his TV since buying the game and lives on a stead diet of Dorritos and Mt. Dew which his mom goes out to get him every other day.

Yeah knowing the maps is the big key.

I keep complaining, but I feel like in about a couple months, everyone will be level 70.

It's funny I've never heard of two companies switching off building a game. I guess it's a good idea in the sense that each game will be kinda different, but considering most games have a "Capture the Flag", "Last man standing", "Teams" ...so on and so forth...one would think they would add Zombie mode. Especially since it was a big hit.

Looking around there's rumors that they may take the "Swat" mode and add a Zombie map, but again it's all rumors. There is a lot of chatter about how COD7 might incorporate the Vietnam war and Zombies may be a part of it.

I like that, I thought too many of the maps in the first game became snipe-fests

Is it me or does Wasteland resemble Snowbound from Halo 3? It's got that big open area for sniping but it seem's like it's a race to hold the underground bunker.

As for the matching up online I've played against kids who were ranked in the 70's and above. I'm at level 21 right now and I definitely agree once you start to learn the maps it becomes easier. My kills/death ratio was horrible when I started out, now I'm evening out and in some cases coming out with a better kills to death ratio. But playing against the people who have logged crazy time is hard because they know everything so much better than you.

I was checking the online leaderboards and the big theme at the top of the rankings was how much game time they had logged. I've had the game since last Thursday and I've only logged 10 hours of gametime thanks to work and such but at the top of the rankings a whole shitload of kids have already logged as high as 4 days and 10+ hours of gametime. I have no idea how one human being can log over 100 hours of gametime in one week since the game came out. That's crazy.
