Their o line is their problem I believe, just like us, but their wr's are far better & they have a talented young rb. The Goat 11-12-2009, 01:46 PM Not sure if Denver's line is banged up but otherwise that group has been very good. Before last year's draft Denver spent it's highest picks acquiring oline talent. Before last year's draft Denver spent it's highest picks acquiring oline talent.Right now, they're starting Russ Hochstein and Tyler Polumbus, which is like being forced to start Stephon Heyer and Will Montgomery. Oh, wait. Compared to last year, they've struggled a lot, but the receivers have helped with the protection by developing. Last year, Cutler never got touched because he had the best OL in the league combined with a great release. skinsfan69 11-12-2009, 02:27 PM What is the man-love for Cutler. How many interceptions does this punk have to throw for people to realize he is not that good. Kyle Orton, who is an average quarterback, has done just as well with the same weapons Cutler had. Cutler is overrated. Lovie Smith needs to be slapped for falling into the Jay Cutler trap. The Bears need to get back to Bear football and run the ball and stop throwing the ball 50 times with Cutler getting picked off 5 times. I don't think Orton is going to throw for 4,500 yards. Brandon Marshall and Eddie Royal's production is not going to come close to what it was last year. I think losing Cutler has a little something to do with that. 44 70 chip 11-12-2009, 11:02 PM actually their running game is aweful the last few games, neither Buckhalter or Moreno are doing anything with that line, against good run defenses. I think their last game against the steelers they tied some team record for lowest total rushing yards. Orton is Trent Dilfer with a weaker arm... acurate enough, manages the game, an acceptable QB for a run oriented team that has a killer defense... but so unspectacular that even with his winning record everyone always wants to bench him... There's little comparison to Campbell, JC has a much stronger arm, but the fundamentals that he lacks keeps him from being a "game manager". JC is a gunslinger who lacks confidence and quickness and is playing in the wrong system on top of that, with a bad o-line (this year) to boot. |
