Now that the Vikings have officially given Childress and extension their VP Rick Spielman may be someone to keep an eye on. It's been rumored that they don't really get along and one was going to go at the end of this year

This may be old news (it's from Nov. 3rd) but I hadn't heard of it until just yesterday. Apparently Mike Holmgren had a bit of a rip on Dan Snyder on his treatment of Jim Zorn ...
Mike Holmgren not pleased with Washington Redskins - Sports Rumors - NFL - Yahoo! Sports (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/rumors/post/Mike-Holmgren-not-pleased-with-Washington-Redski?urn=nfl,199852)
Guess we can scratch Holmgren off the list.

didn't the bills owner say something to the effect that he wasn't interested in Shanahan?

So the Bills and Shanahan met for seven hours Monday night into Tuesday morning.
Buffalo Bills official meets with Mike Shanahan in Denver - ESPN (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4688903)
As I mentioned in another thread, it's interesting to me that Shanahan is meeting with them but Cowher and Holmgren turned them down. Is something already in place? I still don't see Shanahan in Buffalo, but never say never I suppose.

leverage, my boy. leverage. but you never know. if they give him total control, his ego might be thinking " when i turn this mess around...."

what are you hearing smoot? why on earth would anyone want to coach in buffalo? you've got a meddlesome owner who is (despite his protests to the contrary) cheap and a small market team with less talent than almost any other team in the NFL. why on earth would shanahan be legitimately interested in Buffalo when much better positions should be available?
Maybe he really likes the cold.

Cleveland has great fans and they still lost the Browns, albeit temporarily. That said the Bills are not as likely as say the Jags to move. As for Billick and Bradford it's moreso something that I think could happen. I'm not advocating it, but it won't neccesarily upset me either. Wouldn't be my first choice though
If the Jags move in the next 3 years or so.. would that be the quickest move from entering to the modern NFL to changing cities? Anybody have a clue what the shortest stay was?

Yeah. I'm actually a little more curious as to why he said yes while Cowher and Holmgren both said no.
I guess people have been talking Holmgren going back to Seattle. I hadn't ever thought of that but it sounds like it could make sense.
Cowher is starting to emerge as a possible candidate in Houston.
