So far today we're talking about adding a veteran WR and trading Cooley for Marshall. I feel like we've already forgotten about the 2009 season. Offensive line anyone?

Thank you for keeping folks on the track, Matty.

The WRs are not great but they are not the weakest link on the offense by a LONG shot...

The only guy I'd want is Marshall. Kelly had one good game the whole year. And the one good game he had was against back ups. Marshall makes everyone on the field better. If he's avialable we need to try and get him.
Kelly was really only given the opportunity to have one good game. In typical fashion it took an injury to let a guy shine. Sure he won't have that same game every week, but if you've been watching Kelly you know a bit of what he can bring, but when he only gets 2 balls his way, that's what happens.

One of my biggest Kelly highlights is his out of bounds "catch" that he had a couple of weeks ago. It really showed what he could do.

We've just finished witnessing one of the most horrendous season in team history. Everyone, everywhere have on more than one occasion identified what this team's basic need is. When that is addressed "first" I'd be more than willing to discuss players at any other position. Until then, my thought process is like Mike Ditka's was when he traded the Saints entire draft for Ricky Williams, we need to be thinking O-line, O-line and more O-line. Until the issue is resolved nothing else matters. Skilled players are rendered moot without an O-line. O-line anybody!!

Thank you...well said....now i dont have to post since you handled it. Good job.

I was not aware of the fallout in between Shanahan and Marshall. If that is true I would understand not bringing Brandon here.

Nope..move Kelly and Thomas to 1/2 and drop Moss to the slot. That immediately better use of their talents.

boom. hit it on the head. the three mentioned will be more than serviceable, especially with two talented TEs added into the mix. take whatever we were going to use to get a "vet WR," and put it towards an O-Line.

I completely understand the arguement of address the Oline first, RB and other needs. But Shanny WILL want his own WR in this offense. I will be extremely surprised if he puts DT and Kelly at the 1, 2. Plus neither of these guys is a 1. ARE needs to get the f*ck out of town yesterday with Zorn, Portis, and several others. We will have a spot for a new receiver and I am NOT for drafting anybody else. We dont have to break the bank for a Vet and I wouldnt think Allen will with so many other needs. I dont have a problem with a Nate Bulerson type...solid route running, good hands guy...the whole arguement of impeding on the young guys development is bs, Shanny is going to be great for there development and we can still rotate them in, and believe DT or Kelly, one of these guys can come at least as a solid no. 2 receiver....I think Shanny is going to show a sh*t-ton of our guys the door on offense which is a positive in my book

I BELIEVE that the way the Broncos acquired Brandon Marshall in the first place was to use one of the draft picks they got from the Redskins as a result of the Skins trading up to get Jason Campbell. It is more owrk that it is worth to go and find the genesis of that draft selection, but I think that is the case.

Now if that is true, acquiring Marshall to catch passes from Jason Campbell would bring closure to the circumstances surrounding those drafts from a couple of years ago. I don't know if it would help the Redskins' team immensely, but it would effect closure.

The received our 4th-round pick in 2006, but I can't find whether it was ours that got them Marshall or Dumervil with that pick (both drafted in 2006, 4th-round).

That draft was one one the BEST EVER. They got Cutler, Scheffler, Marshall, Dumervil, a RG in Kuper.

All we need is for Thomas or Kelly to have a breakout season. With that we can give our QB a better weapon in the endzone, and give him a tall receiver to throw to. Maybe look into trading cooley with hopes that Davis continues to make progress.

We SHOULD suck it up and build the O line with this years high draft picks, trade away everyone over 30, accept the fact that we're gonna suck next year, and then go after skill positions in the future. A good, young O-line gives you a big window to build the offense, BUT...........Shanny is taking Clausen. SO,...
