Add my friend as a facebook friend

I'll admit, this person could be trying for something like Tila Tequila, although from what she said, i really thought she was different.Wait, is she your real friend (like you've actually met her in person prior to accepting her friend request on facebook) or someone you only know from the interwebs?

My brother knows her. I myself have never met her in person.

Being that I'm in college, its basically a good way to stay in touch with high school friends, people I have classes with in case I'm planning on skipping, etc. It's also a great way for me to keep up with what my old friends are doing in life, where they're going and have been.. You get the idea.

I do have random people on there, but that's pretty much to help me out on some of the game apps, that requires you to have a certain amount of friends (who too have the game app) to proceed in later levels in the game. We don't talk or anything.

Facebook is starting to turn into myspace now, being used as a dating tool. Such as the girl who found a guy with the same name as her...

But the whole idea of posting on here to get your friend, more friends, is... Odd, to put it nicely. Your best bet is her trying to look up high school friends and college friends. Hell I even got people on there I went to Elementary school with.

lol honestly, that's basically what I use it as. I don't even bother getting on AIM more than a handful of times a month.

to the OP...a few points, and i preface this with IF she is real...

1. you say shes new to the area so she needs facebook friends...well most of us on here arent from northern virginia, so how will us adding her help her get situated in the area?

2. even the people that do add her will never meet her, talk to her, or improve her life in any way

3. if she really wants you and your brother to get her facebook friends, then this is someone you shouldnt be talking to anyway, sounds like a nutjob.

Yeah I stopped using AIM quite a while ago. FB handles everything for me now. It's just easy cuz all my coworkers/former coworkers/high school friends, basically everybody uses it.

I still can't access her account. My brother insists that he knows her from Shepard....and that she went to West Potomic High School, but maybe they are punking me. I dont know. Facebook is smart and knows when people have fake profiles, they check that stuff....so maybe it got shut down if it was a hoax...
