Redskin Jim 03-10-2010, 09:15 PM My non-expert take on things is that Best might go in the high-second round. Perhaps we can find another second round pick in a trade, enabling us to take Best. I would be all about Hardesty or Gerhart in the fourth if they fell that far. I've tried to train realistic 4th round hopes on Tate.

Gotcha Lotus, so assuming Spiller is the #1 Rb off the board, where do you see Best as far as RB talent in the draft. Just wondering one non-expert to another. I mean 3rd, 4th "best" etc.

I think Jahvid is 2nd "best" running back behind Spiller, my friend. I think injury concerns drop him a round from Spiller. However, I actually like Best better than Spiller as a pass-catcher.
Who do you like in the top two rounds, if not a running back?

I do like his "shiftiness", and football speed. I can definitely see him as a "one cut and go death blow" in Shanny's offense!
Lotus 03-10-2010, 09:29 PM ^ True dat!

Personally, I would like to see Okung, or Bradford at the 4 pick. If we get Okung,
I wouldn't mind getting Best at #36. But, there are so many veriables involved. I mean, say Okung and Bradford are gone, Then I'd say Suh first, if he's gone, then McCoy (DT) or best OT available. In that instance, if we don't get OT with our 1st pick, don't we kind of have to take best OL available at 36?

You have described my thinking. I am also intrigued by an Okung-Pouncey combo in which we walk away from the draft with the best tackle and the best center. booyah

Me likey a lot. Foundation for years to come on OL. Maybe pickup one of those RBs we discussed or a LB according to BPA/need. Nice..
SmootSmack 03-11-2010, 07:29 AM whew, I would love if we got Best. He is such an athlete, and he gives his all on every play. What is his personality like, anyone know? Is he a ghetto idiotic dirtbag, or is he a nice, humble person? You know, a U of miami type, or a stanford type, lol.......
I am sure someone will give an example of the exact opposite in terms of attitude......... oh well......heheheheh
Best, from all I've heard is considered one of the smartest, classiest players in the draft. There are no character concerns at all with him. I think he's probably going to be a late first round pick, but if he falls to the 2nd I could see the Redskins taking him. But I'm not expecting it.
Imagine, Kevin Barnes and Jahvid Best on the same team
SmootSmack 03-11-2010, 03:10 PM Been told we may have some interest in Joe McKnight as well
